A local based musician cum nurse with the Bawku West District Hospital in the Upper East Region has been reportedly shot and murdered by suspected armed robbers on the popular Bolgatanga-Bawku road.
The deceased, 31-year-old Ishmael Pumi Bashiru also known as Prince is said to have been attacked by the alleged armed robbers this morning at the Tilli stretch of the Bolgatanga-Bawku road in the Bawku West District and shot at close range on his face several times.
He was reportedly rushed to the Bawku West District Hospital for medical care but was transferred to the Tamale Teaching Hospital where he passed on.
Meanwhile, David Fianko-Okyere the Upper East Regional Police Public Affairs Officer has since confirmed the incident to the media.
