The Upper East Regional Communication Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Peter Ayinbisa has asserted that Charles Ndanbon, the NPP’s Nabdam Parliamentary Candidate, has amassed sufficient mining experience to secure the Nabdam seat. Apexnewsgh reports
This statement was made on a local Bolga radio station on Wednesday.
Charles Ndanbon is currently vying for the Nabdam seat against the incumbent Member of Parliament, Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane. Interestingly, a documentary revealed that Dr. Nawaane had attempted to discredit Ndanbon based on his educational background. However, the NPP director argued that educational qualifications aren’t the only measure of a candidate’s potential.
Citing the example of Jerry John Rawlings, who governed Ghana for eight years despite not having a high level of formal education, the director emphasized that experience and technocratic skills are equally valuable. Ndanbon’s experience in the mining sector, he claimed, far outweighs the qualifications of someone who has simply “gone to read ABC.”
The director, Mr. Ayinbisa, further stated that the NDC is not leading in Nabdam, but rather, the opposite is true. This assertion sets the stage for a intense competition in the upcoming elections.
