Apexnewsgh reportsThe meeting aimed to find solutions to restore legislative proceedings. Speaker Bagbin shared his insights, reaffirming his commitment to Ghana’s democratic process. The Council expressed readiness to assist, acknowledging the Speaker’s crucial role in upholding Parliament’s integrity. Chairman Nana Otuo Siriboe II praised the Speaker’s efforts. However, in a separate development, the Supreme Court dismissed Speaker Bagbin’s application to set aside its orders declaring four parliamentary seats vacant. The Court ruled that the application lacked merit, clarifying that it has jurisdiction in the matter. This development may impact Parliament’s resumption, but the Council of State’s support signals a willingness to resolve the impasse. Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on EmailNgamegbulam C.
