Charles Awuzie, a cybersecurity expert and founder of Big Brain Naija, has made shocking revelations about the corruption and fraud perpetrated by former Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu. Apexnewsgh reports
In a recent post on Meta, Dr. Awuzie compared the crimes committed by Bobrisky to the massive fraud carried out by Ikpeazu during his tenure as governor.
According to Dr. Awuzie, Governor Alex Otti has set up a forensic audit team led by one of the Big Four accounting firms to uncover the extent of the corruption that took place under Ikpeazu’s administration. The audit has revealed staggering amounts of fraud, with billions of Naira being paid to contractors for non-existent projects.
Dr. Awuzie emphasized the need for justice for the people of Abia State, many of whom suffered under the oppressive government of Ikpeazu. He recounted how his own parents, who served the state as teachers, were mistreated by the corrupt regime.
Governor Alex Otti has expressed his commitment to working with the EFCC to bring to light more fraudulent transactions that occurred during the previous government. He has vowed to hold accountable those responsible for the mismanagement of funds and called for transparency and accountability in government.
The revelations made by Dr. Awuzie have sparked outrage among Abians, who demand to see evidence of the projects that were supposedly funded by the billions of Naira that went missing. The airport construction scam, in particular, has been a point of contention, with no physical evidence of the project to show for the massive sums of money that were allocated for it.
In light of these revelations, Dr. Awuzie has called on the EFCC to take action and ensure that those who have looted public funds are held accountable for their actions. He stressed that the people of Abia State deserve better governance and a government that works for their interests, not for the selfish gains of corrupt officials.
