Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has urged Ghanaians to reject former President John Mahama’s bid to return to office, saying the country deserves a new leader, not a “second-hand failed President”. Apexnewsgh reports
Addressing a campaign rally in the Binduri Constituency, Dr. Bawumia criticized the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for its poor performance during its tenure.
He highlighted several failed initiatives, including the Savanna Accelerated Authority (SADA), which spent over Ghc 100 million with little to show for it.
Dr. Bawumia also listed several areas where the NPP has outperformed the NDC, including agricultural growth, industrial growth, job creation, trade balance, and infrastructure development. He challenged former President Mahama to a debate to compare their records but said Mahama is “afraid”.
However, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia further endorsed the re-election of Member of Parliament Abdulai Abanga, urging the people of Binduri to reward his hard work and dedication to the constituency.
Addressing a campaign rally in Binduri, Dr. Bawumia praised Abanga’s efforts in bringing development to the area, citing his numerous initiatives that have positively impacted the lives of constituents.
“Abdulai Abanga has been a true son of Binduri, working tirelessly to ensure that our community receives the development it deserves,” Dr. Bawumia said. “His commitment to our people is evident in the projects he has brought to our doorstep.”
The Vice President encouraged the people of Binduri to show their appreciation for Abanga’s service by re-electing him to parliament. “Let us reward his hard work and dedication by giving him another term to continue his good work,” Dr. Bawumia said.
With his endorsement, Dr. Bawumia reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting dedicated public servants like Abanga, who are making a positive difference in their communities.
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia further emphasized the importance of peace and unity during a campaign rally in Binduri, speaking in the local Mampruli dialect to drive home his message.
Engaging the crowd, Dr. Bawumia said, “We are all brothers and sisters, and we should not allow the NDC to divide us for their own political gain.” His words resonated deeply with the audience, who understand the importance of community and harmony.
