Bawa announced his reassignment on his Facebook page, stating, “I have been reassigned to GOIL as Group CEO, effective immediately, as part of the President’s broader energy sector strategy”. His reassignment comes just a month after his initial appointment as Acting CEO of GNPC, which took effect on January 17, 2025.
As Group CEO of GOIL, Bawa will play a key role in shaping the company’s strategy and direction. GOIL is a major player in Ghana’s energy sector, and Bawa’s leadership will be crucial in navigating the company’s future challenges and opportunities.
Meanwhile, this is barely 3 weeks he assumed office as GNPC CEO.
