Friends say the attack came days after she filed a restraining order against the suspect, an actor she met on set.
Shehorn underwent multiple surgeries and was in intensive care before being released to another hospital unit. Friends have set up a GoFundMe page to help with medical expenses, describing her as a “remarkable person” who “doesn’t deserve such a traumatic experience”.
The suspect, a background actor, was arrested and released days before the attack. He allegedly fled the scene and was later detained by law enforcement in Texas at the Mexican border.
Shehorn’s friends are rallying around her, sharing photos of her recovery and praising her strength and resilience. The Los Angeles police and fire departments confirmed responding to the stabbing incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
