Before the recent revelation about Jomoro Constituency Parliamentary Candidate, Jomoro appeared to be one of eight Parliamentary seats contested by the governing New Patriotic Party.
Speaking in an interview with Apexnewsgh.com, the National Deputy General Secretary of the NPP, Nana Obiri Boahen, said the party has filed a suit at the Sekondi High Court seeking to prevent Dorcas Afo Toffey of the NDC from holding herself as Member of Parliament elect.
Mr. Obiri Boahen also hinted that, aside the electoral malpractices which benefitted the NDC candidate in the December 7, elections, Dorcas Afo Toffey citizenship status is equally another issue.
“We have a solid case and we are saying that she holds three citizenship at the material time of filling a nomination papers. Ghanaian, Ivorian and U.S and with regards to the Ivorian nationality, she has two Ivorian passport with two different names”. He told Apexnewsgh
