Ghana’s President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, has called on Ghanaians to intensify their prayers and fasting as the nation prepares to tackle pressing challenges following the December 7 elections. Apexnewsgh reports

Speaking at an end-of-year sermon at an Assemblies of God Church in Tamale on December 31, Mahama emphasized the need for divine intervention and collective effort to propel the nation forward.

Mahama acknowledged that the real work begins now, after the relative ease of the campaign and election phases. “If we prayed and fasted for a successful election, now is the time to pray and fast even more,” he urged. The President-elect also highlighted the need for national unity and inclusivity, stressing that the challenges ahead require collective governance and collaboration across all sectors.

Mahama’s return to the presidency marks a significant comeback after a four-year hiatus. His administration faces the daunting task of addressing economic challenges and fostering national development. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) leader has pledged to work collaboratively to ensure the country is governed in the right direction.

As Mahama prepares to take office, Ghanaians are eagerly awaiting his administration’s plans to tackle the nation’s pressing issues. With his call for intensified prayers and fasting, Mahama is urging citizens to rally behind efforts to rebuild and strengthen the nation.
