The Central Regional Chairman of the Peace Council and Bishop of the Cape Coast Diocese of the Methodist Church, Very Reverend Richardson Aboagye Andam, has lauded former Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, for his outstanding contributions to Ghana.
The commendation came during a funeral service at the Ebenezer Methodist Church in Mankessim on Saturday, March 15th, which Dr. Dampare attended. Reverend Aboagye Andam expressed admiration for the former IGP’s exemplary service, emphasizing the widespread appreciation for his work.
In his sermon, the Bishop noted that Dr. Dampare’s decision to prohibit police officers from carrying firearms to polling stations had a lasting impact on the country. “What you have done for this country will live with us forever. May God bless you for your wisdom… You saved Ghana, God bless you. Your reward will be huge both on earth and heaven.”
