Minister for Local Government, Martin Adjei Mensah-Korsah, has issued a directive to all Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to demolish cattle ranches located on streets and confiscate the animals. Apexnewsgh reports

This move comes amid growing concerns about cattle and animals competing with drivers for space on ceremonial streets.

In an interview with another media platform monitored on Wednesday, June 12, the Minister emphasized that both the chief executives and animal owners will be held liable if the directive is not complied with. He expressed frustration that animals are being allowed to destroy beautification efforts in the city, stating, “We can’t tolerate this.”

The Minister urged the assemblies to take necessary action to make society a better place, warning that MMDCEs will be held responsible if the situation persists.

The directive aims to restore order and safety on the streets, ensuring that ceremonial streets are not used for animal rearing.
