Naaba Orlando Alebizire A. Awini, Paramount Chief of Naaga, has urged the National Democratic Congress (NDC) national Chairman and it’s members to be watchful and vigilant regarding the Electoral Commission’s actions. Apexnewsgh reports
The Chief expressed concerns about the EC’s attitude and behavior, emphasizing that they must be held accountable to the people of Ghana.
The NDC over the month has raised serious concerns after experiencing what they described as anomalies in Pusiga and some other part of the country, hence demanding the Electoral Commission to audit the IT system of the commission and the voters register.
Aside the issues raised above by the Chief, he also addressed the deplorable state of the Naaga-Shirigu-Naaga road, which, despite claims of ongoing construction, remains in disrepair.
He appealed to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to prioritize the road’s rehabilitation if they come into power in January 2025.
The Chief however, commended NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah for visiting his community to witness the challenges they are bedeviling their communities.
The Chief was hopeful that the party will address the Naaga Traditional Area’s needs if voted into power on December 7.
He made these remarks during the visit of the NDC national chairman Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah to his community.
The NDC national chairman, has been in the Upper East Region for the past two days campaigning in most of part of the remote communities in the Region. This he said, will help him identify or have a feel of what the people are passing through.
