NDC’s Upper East Region Poised for Massive Development

The Upper East Regional Communication Officer of the NDC, Jonathan Abdallah Salifu, has emphasized the importance of unity within the party, stating that it’s the only way to succeed. Apexnewsgh reports

He acknowledged that many party members have started vying for positions without having the party interest anymore but stressed that unity is crucial for making progress.

Abdallah pointed out that the NDC’s unity was a key factor in their 2024 election victory, where they secured 56.55% of the votes. He cautioned that a divided party, like the NPP, cannot achieve such success, and that unity is essential for the NDC to continue enjoying power.

According to the Regional Communication Officer, the Upper East Region is poised for massive development under President-elect John Dramani Mahama’s leadership. This promise of development is expected to have a direct impact on the region’s parliamentary seats, with the possibility of maintaining all 15 seats in the next election.

The reasoning is that if the party delivers on its development promises, the people of the Upper East Region will show their appreciation by re-electing their Members of Parliament.

“We should also be mindful that we have a duty and a responsibility to fulfill a promise we made to the people of the Upper East Region”. He stressed

Some of the development projects promised by Mahama include the creation of a new region out of the Upper East Region, an airport to enhance transportation and accessibility, a government hospital in Bawku, etc. These projects, if successfully implemented, will likely have a significant impact on the region’s economy and quality of life.

Abdallah spoke at a victory party organized by the regional youth wing, where members gathered to eat, drink, and celebrate their recent successes.
