According to the Upper East Regional Minister, Stephen Yakubu, the people of Upper East can consider themselves fortunate due to the discovery of oil, in addition to the abundance of gold and other valuable natural resources in the region.
The Minister made the revelation at the 13th BONABOTO National Congress held in Tongo the district capital of the Talensi district on December 29, 2023.
