An armed robber has been killed by Police on the Walewale-Gambaga-Nalerigu road in the West Mamprusi Municipality of the North East Region.
The robbers were said to have blocked the main road at Gaagbini, in the West Mamprusi municipality with logs to rob passengers.
Three of the accomplices were also shot by the Police.
The Police were notified by some drivers who reported the incident to the Walewale Police.
Before a police patrol team quickly rushed to the scene and engaged in an exchange of fire with the robbers resulting in the death of one of them.
However, three of the robbers who sustained gunshot wounds escaped the scene.
