President Mahama Submits First Batch of Deputy Ministerial Nominees

President John Dramani Mahama has submitted his first batch of deputy ministerial nominees to Parliament for approval. Apexnewsgh reports

The nominees, who are key figures from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), are expected to play a crucial role in implementing government policies.

Among the appointees are Samson Ahi, nominated as Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, and Clement Abas Apaak, named Deputy Minister for Education. Gizella Tettey-Agbotui has been selected for the Ministry of Works, Housing, and Water Resources.

Other notable nominees include Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini for the Ministry of Roads and Highways, Justice Srem-Sai for the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General, and Rita Naa Odoley Sowah for the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs. Actor-turned-politician John Kofi Setor Dumelo has been nominated as Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture.

Additionally, Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba has been nominated as Minister of State for Public Sector Reforms. The nominations will undergo parliamentary scrutiny and approval before the appointees can officially take office.
