It was a sad day for the people of Sene East 20 pupils drowned on their way crossing a river on a canoe in the Sene East Constituency of the Bono East Region.
The Member of Parliament for the area said, the pupils were crossing the river from an island area to their schools.
Dominic Napare, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Sene East, confirmed the incident to Classfm monitored by Apexnewsgh on Thursday, February 8, 2023.
The MP gave the assurance that steps have been taken to establish a school. He said engagements have gone on with the MCE, the Ghana Education Service directorate for the establishment of the school for some of these island communities.
