Due to unpaid interconnect charges, Globacom subscribers will soon lose the ability to make calls to MTN lines.
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has granted partial approval for the disconnection, allowing Globacom subscribers to still receive calls but not make calls to MTN.
This is not the first time Glo subscribers have faced disconnection over interconnect debts, as a similar incident occurred in 2019.
Currently, Glo owes MTN around N6bn for interconnect fees. The disconnection is set to take place on January 18, 2024.
