One of Alhaji Otito’s notable initiatives was providing meals to 2,500 BECE candidates and invigilators during the exam period, a first in the constituency’s history. Recognizing the importance of nourishment for the young exam-takers, he ensured that they were well-fed throughout the examination period, a move that garnered appreciation from the children’s parents. In addition, when a rainstorm damaged several schools in the area, Alhaji Otito took it upon himself to reroof and even about to repaint four of these schools, a move to restore them to their former glory. This act of swift and effective assistance earned him the gratitude of the affected communities, further solidifying his standing among the people. Moreover, Alhaji Otito addressed the critical issue of electricity supply for the Ghana Education Service (GES) in Navrongo. When the service was unable to function due to a prolonged power cut and mounting electricity bills, he stepped in and paid off the outstanding GHC 24,000 bill, ensuring that the service could resume its operations promptly. This act of support for the education sector resonated deeply with the local teachers and community members. Beyond these impactful interventions, Alhaji Otito has also conducted skills training for women and is organizing to provide them with financial assistance through loans. He has prioritized the health of the community by conducting health screenings and has supported farmers by providing them with fertilizers. Additionally, he has aided seamstresses by donating sewing machines to bolster their businesses. NPP Nomination Filing: Alhaji Otito seeks Navro Pio blessing as he files nomination for Parliamentary primaries
A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region and Parliamentary candidate hopeful for the NPP in the Navrongo central constituency, Alhaji Abdallah Otito Achuliwor has filed his nomination in a grand style. The filing of the only sheik in the NPP Navrongo constituency came along with some other activities as it started with a procession from his house through the principal street of Navrongo to the Chief’s palace, where he presented his form to Navrongo Pio for his blessings and from Navrongo Pio’s Palace, he took another route to end up at crossroad. Then, proceeded with a match to the constituency office to submit his form. Alhaji Otito after submitting his form, had a press soiree to tell the press what his campaign message is all about. After his engagement with the press, he moved to the Municipal Education office to honor a pledge he made during his late brother’s 20th Anniversary celebration. Alhaji Otito and his family presented exercise books to the schools within the constituency. The donation was received by the Municipal Director of Education. However, Alhaji Otito also used the opportunity to launch his campaign team. “We have 5 zones in Navrongo and every zone will have its campaign team and then, we will have a coordinating team of which I am the chairman of that campaign coordinating team who will be the center to support with logistics”. Stressing on some of his plans, Alhaji Otito insisted he is going to start a media war. Meanwhile, appealing to all Navrongo delegates who would be participating in the upcoming party primaries Alhaji said, “This is the 3rd time am contesting the seat, and the last two times you didn’t allow me to go, I got up strong and moved on. If you want me to shed tears for you this third time, then let me be thrown down again. If you want to shed tears for yourself, let me be thrown day again. You know me and what I have done for you and our constituency for the past 20 years”.
