Defection Fever Hits Nabdam: 30 NDC Members Switch to NPP

In the lead-up to the 2024 general elections, the Nabdam Constituency has emerged as an unexpected focal point of political rivalry. Apexnewsgh reports Recently, a notable shift occurred when a group of voters from the Kugrin polling station made headlines by defecting to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and rallying behind the party’s candidate, Mark Kurt Nawaane. However, this change in political allegiance was just the beginning. Not long after, another significant development unfolded as a different group of voters switched their support to the New Patriotic Party (NPP). They threw their weight behind Charles Ndanbon, the NPP’s parliamentary candidate. The energy in the constituency was palpable, as these movements stirred curiosity and speculation about what was influencing such dramatic changes among the electorate. In Zogambre, excitement reached a fever pitch when Hon. Charles T. Ndanbon and Hon. DCE Agnes Anamoo were met with a lively reception. Over a thousand enthusiastic youths gathered to officially join the NPP, expressing their strong belief that the party represented the best future for both Nabdam and Ghana. Their commitment to supporting the NPP’s lead in the upcoming elections was unwavering. As the days countdown to election day, all eyes are on Nabdam. The Electoral Commission of Ghana has announced a comprehensive program of activities for the elections, featuring key initiatives like voter registration, an exhibition of voters’ registers, and polling station exercises. With the political landscape shifting and tensions rising, the residents of Nabdam are increasingly vocal about their choices, setting the stage for a compelling showdown in 2024. Charles Ndanbon vow to recapture the lost NPP seat in Nabdam if…

The Regional Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region Hon. Charles T. Ndanbon says, his motivation to contest the Parliamentary primaries was triggered by the youth, men, and women of Nabdam Constituency. Apexnewsgh.com report The Regional Organizer made this known when addressing the media after filing his nomination form at the constituency party office in Nangode on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. He said he has gained the experience “I have been a polling station chairman, I have been a two-term constituency Organiser, I have been a two-term Assembly member, I have been the Financial Secretary and Regional Organizer and you are talking about somebody who has not been an Assemblyman before. He believes, the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Nabdam Constituency Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane only got the opportunity to be in Parliament. However, addressing the media, Hon. Ndanbon stressed that if the people of Nabdam and the New Patriotic Party give him the opportunity to represent them as their parliamentary candidate ahead of the 2024 elections, He will defeat the incumbent Member of Parliament Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane. Asking what he thinks Dr. Nawaane is not getting right, Hon. Ndanbon said, the MP left the constituency behind by tackling some basic development in the constituency such as the road from Asoge to Pelungu and more. Meanwhile, concluding his remarks he called for party unity amongst members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) because that is the only way the NPP can recapture the Nabdam Seat from the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The Regional Organizer Charles Ndanbon was confident that the people of Nabdam will never disappoint him after asking to take the challenge in the area. Breaking News: Upper East Regional Organizer Charles Ndanbon joins Parliamentary race

Coordinators of the governing New Patriotic Party in the Nabdam Constituency of Upper East Region have unanimously picked a Parliamentary nomination form for the Upper East Regional Organizer Charles .T. Ndanbon to contest the NPP’s upcoming internal party primaries. Sharing their thought with Apexnewsgh.com, the NPP Electoral Area Coordinator for Pelungu Wonia Bernard said, in the past, the party has witnessed some amount of disunity which had inured to the benefit of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC). “We the NPP Coordinator of Nabdam Constituency have decided to pick a form for our brother Charles .T. Ndanbon. And the reason behind this…. If you are someone who follows Nabdam politics about NPP, you will know we have had several issues but this year, we don’t want those disunity to continue. So, we the Coordinators have come together as one to pick the form for our brother”. According to the Area Coordinators, with the long-serving experience of Hon. Charles Ndanbon, he will try hard to unite the party. “Our brother has been with NPP for a long, he has been a polling station executive, constituency executive, and regional executive. Someone like him has more experience in the party and we don’t want division that is why we have decided to pick the form and that doesn’t mean that if any of our brothers or sisters deem it necessary to also pick a form he or she shouldn’t do that”. They further announced their availability to any party member who will need their service, stressing that they as Area Coordinators want someone who will win back the seat from the NDC. “ If any of them want us to also pick form for them we can equally do the same for them because want unity. We want someone who will come so that after the primaries there should be unity so that we continue that way and that will help us take the seat from the opposition”. Asking whether the Regional Organizer persuaded them to pick the form on his behalf, Mr. Wonia said: “We heard of his intention but we don’t know what is happening but this is one of the ways that will push him to come out and we have decided to pick the form for him and he is not aware of it”. He stated The Coordinators maintained that Hon. Charles is popular, and he has the capacity to unite the party members, he is well known to party members and he has been in the game for so long and with all his experience and together with the party support, they are convinced Hon. Ndanbon is the best candidate to deliver the seat for the NPP in the Nabdam Constituency. Mr. Samuel Nsoh a member of Ndanbon’s campaign team received the form on behalf of Hon. Ndanbon. He thanked all the Area Coordinators, Polling Stations Executives, the party elders, Constituency Executives, and Regional Executives as he further assured them that Hon. Ndanbon will not let the party down. According to Mr. Nsoh, Hon. Ndanbon is ready to come out to contest, and come 2024 he will rescue the seat from the NDC.
