The former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Bolgatanga Constituency Mr. Epsona Ayamga who was dramatically removed from office during his time as the Bolgatanga MCE has revealed that, those who masterminded for his removal from office are those he described in the system as ‘Local Heroes’. Mr. Ayamga who was speaking on WORD FM a Bolgatanga based radio station monitored by Apexnewsgh.com on Monday, February 1, 2021, said, the local heroes are the people who believe their allegation cannot be investigated because what they say must be final. “This matter I don’t think there is anybody from national who masterminded this, it was done by the ‘local heroes’ of the region and the district. The local heroes are the people, the so-called em em, they know how people, they know all people in the Municipality, what they say is what government doesn’t investigate and just go on to sack you”. However, in a press statement sighted by Apexnewsgh.com, some cadres of the then ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bolgatanga Municipality of the Upper East Region have called for the immediate removal of the Bolgatanga Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Epsona Harry Ayamga, from office. According to these cadres, they were accusing the then MCE Epsona Ayamga of perpetuating activities which are detrimental to the interest of the NDC, warning that if care was not taken, they could ruin attempts by the NDC to retain the Bolgatanga Central Constituency parliamentary seat. Meanwhile, it was later rumored that the late former President Mills did not know about the MCE removal from office.
