According to the aspiring National General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Iddrisu Musah (Musah Superior), the slogan breaking the 8 adopted by the party as an agenda ahead of the 2024 election has become an uncomfortable noise in the airs of Ghanaians and the party and he would prefer the party to discontinue the noise and get back to work. Apexnewsgh.com report He told Apexnewsgh.com that, what the party needs now is to motivate the grounds, energize the base and get serious. “We need to stop the noise, there is so much noise in the system. We are breaking the 8, we are breaking the 8, it is a very uncomfortable noise and I want us to discontinue the noise and then get back to work. We’ve got to back, to pay the party, motivate the ground, energize the base and then get serious”. Mr. Superior further said: “I feel sad and sick and I want to cry, because this party was built on certain clear values liberty, diversity, democracy, transparency honesty, and truth. And we have to be honest with our party. Are we keeping those values? If you allowed somebody to buy your votes. If someone gives you Ghc 5,000,00 and you vote for the person and really don’t think that this person is going to do a good job, what are you to the party? You are becoming a danger to the party. So, people should just disregard this, is not going to help you. Is it a deliberate attempt by those buying the vote to try and cease this party and make you useless and weak, so that, next time they can come back and buy your vote? In the last five years, the current executive officers of the party have abandoned this party and have abandoned our constituency executives. They don’t come here, they don’t come to the constituencies, all over the country, they don’t talk to our party people, and they don’t even identify themselves with them”. “Today, we are having an election, and their assistant and their agents are regularly calling these people they rejected and abandoned several years ago. So, what are you telling us? They think that we are unintelligent, they think we are stupid and they think they can come again and tell us stories”. He stressed However, the party is going to the polls on July 15-17, 2022, to elect their national party executives. Musah Superior tagged current NPP party leadership as “incompetent”
Aspiring National General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Iddrisu Musah (Musah Superior), has described the current party leadership of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) as incompetent. Apexnewsgh.com report According to Mr. Superior, his party picture is very gloomy and people are not happy. “There is so much acrimony in the party all because there hasn’t been any plan by this party to support our party people. And I cannot understand that the party has delivered a government and the government is so detached from the party, not because of the inability of the President and his cabinet to work with the party but because the party leadership is so [incompetent] that they are not able to leverage on our government to be able to help the party” He stated He added: “There hasn’t been any conversation for the last five years, initiated by the leadership of our party to empower our party people and I think that this is completely wrong. I have said it on a number of radio stations and television and I haven’t received a response from anybody in the party to say Musah what you are saying is not true. I have been talking to party people even before I decided to become a General Secretary because I have been an NPP animal for a very long time and i talk about it all the time and the lamentation is huge. However, the party is going to the polls on July 15-17, 2022, to elect their national party executives. Musah Superior gains gargantuan confidence ahead of National Party Elections, says he is confident of winning by 70 percent
The former mayor for the Tamale Metropolis Musah Superior who is currently aspiring for the National Secretaryship position in the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) says he is confident of winning his interest position by 70 percent margin. Speaking in an interview with Apexnewsgh.com Mr. Superior said, the reason why he believes he would have a strong win, is because of the response he is getting from his party people and his policy initiative. “In fact, first of all, the way we have to diagnose the problems of the party, the interventions we are going to implement to address those problems, and the future of the party. It is a very formulated and much-regulated campaign, so that, at every stage, we have something to say and that is why I have published my 10-point plan to address the huge challenges of the party. And the party people are happy to have had a very outspoken person touching on the issues. However, about his interest and readiness for the contest, he said “I took a decision on December 14 2021 to contest the position of the General Secretary and I have been extremely busy, took some leave off work, and have been up and down the country talking to our party people”. However, the party is going to the polls on July 15-17, 2022, to elect their national party executives. “No NPP person as we speak has a proper membership”‘–Musah Superior
The former Tamale Mayor and NPP National Secretary hopeful Musah Superior has revealed that the Regional and National Secretariat of the party cannot boast of data for its members across the country. He said: “No NPP person as we speak has a proper membership, everybody is out of date, that is shameful”. “So, we are going to introduce a technologically based…., In fact, it amazed me that the NDC is ahead of us”. “As we speak right now there is no data of the NPP around the country. Go to every constituency and ask them for a membership register? Zero. Where is the report you sent to Accra? Zero. Where are the party research reports for the past five years? Zero, where is the communication documentary? Zero. We cannot manage a party like that, we need a modern way of managing a party. He laments Mr. Superior made the pronouncement during a One on One interview with Asempa Fm monitored by Apexnewsgh.com Source: Apexnewsgh.com
It will be difficult to break the 8 with half-truth or hearsay information–Former NPP DCE to party
Peter Ayinbisa, the former District Chief Executive of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has revealed, that it will be difficult for the party succeeds on its agenda of breaking the 8 with half-truth information or hearsay. The former DCE made the pronouncement during an exclusive interview with Apexnewsgh.com on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, following the event of what looks like a piece of leaked information from the newly elected regional executives “So, that means someone within the meeting or some people within the meeting leaked out such information and that is where my surprises and worries come from because this is a very new party office that has just been elected less than 2 weeks ago and their first meeting information leaked. There is a source of worry for me and the party and am worried about that. “It will be difficult to break the 8 with half-truth information or hearsay information. With the information that is not accurate. Because these are executives who are supposed to keep their mouth shut, these are people who have sworn the oath of secrecy, these are people who have sworn an official oath and this oath says that you should not divulge any official information to outsiders when you are not asked to do so and just after a meeting, information is been divulged and people are now writing based on the information they received after the meeting”. “I believe is not a good cause for our party, if we don’t desist from it, it means we are going to have a divided front because I was told and also reading from the write up they had to end the meeting inconclusively because some people thought that the name that where pumping around, they didn’t like those names and others have other names they mentioned and others didn’t agree. So, it means that, each time we hold a meeting information will be leaked out. So, how can these individuals hold a critical campaign meeting that it will not go out to the opposition NDC? Am just worried. And I believe going forward, if it continues like this, the party will not experience any growth in this region. That was what happen in 2014 and 2015 which lead to some suspension of some personalities at the national level. Because, each time they held a meeting, within two hours, the information was in the hands of the NDC”. He stressed According to the former DCE, “It means that, whatever the region will plan the constituencies’ how-to strategizes, how to snack the only seats that have been occupied by the opposition, that information will be leaked, if it leaks, it’s a dead matter for us. That will mean that we cannot plan well and whatever information we put across or plan to do, would be picked by the NDC far even before we begin to execute that idea. So, it is going to be an exercise in fidelity. “I urged the new crop of executives, very fine young men and women. They have all been closed to the party by voice in various capacities. Some have been there before they come back. The first Vice, the second Vice, and the Chairman have been there as treasurer and as chairman. And now as chairman moving to begin his second term. The women organizer have been there before she is been retained. A youth Organizer is a new person, but he has held various positions before, he was the deputy national coordinator for TESCON. So, that is a party position he has held before. The assistant secretary, all of them have had a good time with the party and have held various positions. He recounted. Upper East NPP Regional Secretaryship position and the candidate likely to …
For the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Regional Secretaryship position in the Upper East Region, three individuals will be battling themselves for that particular position on Friday, May 27, 2022, at Bolga GNAT Hall. Apexnewsgh.com is conducting interviews with party members who matter, to pick their views and expectation ahead of the regional party executive election. Read views gathered below: AYAMBIRE CLETUS INNOCENT Is the incumbent Regional Secretary for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region. Party members believe, Mr. AYAMBIRE wasn’t active as a Regional Secretary. They said, his assistant rather took the opportunity of his inactiveness to position himself in party matters. That might affect deeply. ELVIS FIGO A. AWONEKAI Information gathered shows that some people from the BONABOTO area are not pleased with Mr. AWONEKAI, especially because of his relationship working directly with the Regional chairman instead of the Regional Secretary his direct boss. So, some of those against the Regional Chairman, are likely to turn their eyes against him too. That might be a contributing factor against him. During our engagement with party members, they were issues such as, whether were they, not the same people who put the party in such abysmal performance during the 2020 election? They said, they want a new person to occupy the seat. This might also affect the delegate’s decision. However, some party members also hold the view that Mr. AWONEKAI is too desperate for party positions. They said, after electing him the Deputy Regional Secretary in 2018, he contested the Bolgatanga Municipal District Chief Executive position and unfortunately missed the opportunity and this time, he is contesting the Regional Secretary with his current boss. It is their view that he is very desperate for party positions. This might affect his chances too. AMADU MOGTAR BAGYA Is a research member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region, According to the few accounts gathered about Alhaji Mogtar, revealed he is liked by many. Due to his hard work to party. Meanwhile, in terms of relationships, they said, Alhaji MOGTAR, is approachable, accommodative and his relationship with party members is cordial. Even though he wasn’t part of the administration of the party and part of the decision-makers who caused the party to lose their already existing 3 Parliamentary seats. AMADU MOGTAR BAGYA, stance on NPP Navrongo Constituency matters especially during Parliamentary primaries between the late Kofi Adda and the former Upper East Regional Minister Tangoba Abayege is likely to pave way for him. Because then, he threw his weight on the side of the late Kofi Adda to become the Parliamentary candidate for the Navrongo but unfortunately, the late Kofi Adda lost the Primaries and automatically Alhaji Mogtar became enemies with the other camp. As Apexnewsgh.com writes today, those he supported then from the late Kofi Adda’s camp are those in Navrongo NPP party leadership currently. That might increase his chances of becoming the Upper East Regional Secretary. However, following the views and information gathered from party members during Apexnewsgh.com engagement with them ahead of the Friday, May 27, 2022, regional party election, AMADU MOGTAR BAGYA stands a better chance of winning the Upper East Regional secretaryship position. Please note, that these are public views gathered by Apexnewsgh.com. The platform is nonpartisan and will not be allowed to be used by any politician to achieve their parochial interest. During the constituency elections, we published our analysis and verdict after our engagement with party members and it came out 98% correct. However, according to the regional election committee of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), 325 delegates are expected to cast their votes to elect party leadership in the region. They are as follows: 17 executives from the 16 constituencies, 17 regional executives, 10 elders, 10 patrons, 15 TESCON Presidents, 3 Representatives to the national council, 1 member of Parliament, 15 TESCON NASARA and WOCON. Total 326. But out of the 326, unfortunately, one delegate won’t be allowed to vote bringing the actual expected delegates to 325. Expect the Organizer and Youth Organizer’s position soon Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana/Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen Please contact Apexnewsgh.com on email apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications. See who is likely to win NPP UE Regional Chairmanship election– Read Views
On Friday, May 27, 2022, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) will be electing their regional executives across the country which includes Upper East Region. In the Upper East Region, those contesting the Regional Chairmanship position are numbering six and they are all capable of handling the position efficiently but unfortunately, the position is meant for only one individual to occupy. However, this platform has taken it upon itself to look through the chances of aspiring candidates vying for the chairmanship position. Below are some of the interesting views we gathered ahead of the Friday May 27, 2022 ‘El Clásico’: MOHAMMED MURTALA IBRAHIM: Is coming from the Bawku zone. He is the number-one on the ballot paper and is the former Upper East Regional Chairman. He took over as the Regional Chairman after the death of then Regional Chairman, Adam Mahama. And he managed to get the party 3 seats in Parliament from the region. According to some of the delegates, he is approachable too. One would have thought that his record would help him become the next chairman. But unfortunately, some members are of the view that he is far from getting the opportunity again as Regional Chairman. FILSON AWANKUA: Is coming from the Bolgatanga East area. He is number-two on the ballot paper. He contested the last regional chairmanship position and came second with only 88 votes. Meanwhile, according to some party members who shared their views during our engagement with them ahead of the regional executive election, Mr. Awankua got a lot of things wrong: 1. Some of those who assisted him in 2018 by making him popular in the region as a new person at a time especially when it comes to regional politics left him when they realized he was not listening to their advice anymore. They said, he did not appreciate their efforts because he thought it was out of his popularity that he got 88 votes in the 2018 regional executive election. This they say, might also affect his chances. 2. Their other point is that Mr. Awankua knows he is interested in becoming a Regional Chairman, but the game he played in Navrongo during the late Joseph Kofi Adda and the former Regional Minister Tangoba Abayage’s parliamentary primaries is a factor that is likely to affect him, because he threw all his support openly behind the former Regional Minister who eventually won the primaries and unfortunately lost to National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the 2020 general elections. As if that wasn’t enough they said, he accompanied the former Regional Minister to submit her parliamentary form at the party office in Navrongo. As per the information gathered, these actions displeased some of his team members then because, according to them, the late Kofi Adda supported him with monies to do his campaign then. This, they say, might affect his chances too. 3. He has also gone ahead to sponsor candidates that have lost in the just-ended constituency elections, we gather. This they say, might be a factor against his chances as well. ANTHONY NAMOO: Is the number-three on the ballot and also the incumbent Upper East Regional Chairman of the NPP. He won the last election with the support of some of his “brothers and friends” at the time. Unfortunately today, such a relationship does not exist between him and those who supported him during the last election. When it comes to the party’s internal election, his inability not to win more seats as chairman might not affect his chances much. Even though he does not have powerful people supporting him, he is in touch with a number of delegates and there are some delegates who may be difficult to convince to not support him because he worked with some of the delegates directly. However, those who assisted him in the past and later felt betrayed are now delegates. This, they say, might be a factor against his chances. They also talk about his relationship with party members. They say that might be a factor. BUGRI A. IBRAHIM: Is number-four on the ballot paper. He is also coming from the Bawku zone. He is an entirely new person in the chairmanship race. A little piece of information gathered about him shows he is a party man and has contributed his quota to the welfare of the party in the region. In fact, he is well known and he is currently the Upper East NPP Regional 2nd Vice Chairman. Even though nothing much was said about him, per our engagement and views gathered, his chances of winning the chairmanship position are low. JERRY ASAMANI ALADAGO: Is number-five on the ballot paper, he contested the last regional election and won the regional organiser position and he is currently the Upper East regional boss of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO). According to some party members, since his tenure as the party’s regional organiser began in 2018, the party has witnessed an irreparable loss in the history of NPP in the region. There is also information that his recent relationship is not cordial with people. These might affect his chances of becoming a regional chairman. DR. MOSES KWABENA ATINGA: Is number-six on the ballot paper. He is currently the incumbent NPP Upper East Regional 1st Vice Chairman. Information gathered shows that, even though he has been one of the regional executives, people know his role as a Vice-Chairman is a bit limited and he has always been very humble, accommodative, friendly, and always responding to people’s messages in terms of need and assistance. They said the little he could do as a 1st Vice Chairman he has done it successfully and many have identified themselves with him. Verdict: From the analysis, interview conducted and views gathered by Apexnewsgh.com from party members, it shows the number 6 ballot Dr. Moses Kwabena Atinga is ahead of his other contenders. The contest is actually between him and the incumbent. But he stands tall in this current election. Please
