The allowance is not satisfactory as expected-GNMTA Women Commission

The National Executive Board (NEB) and Ghana Nurses-Midwife Trainees Association ( GNMTA) in a press statement released titled ‘THE STATEMENT ON CHRONIC INCONSISTENCIES IN THE TRAINEES ALLOWANCE PAYMENT MODULE’ on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, the trainees are demanding for improvement in payment of their outstanding allowance arrears ranging from 4 to 6 months.
Speaking on A1 radio Daybreak Upper East monitored by Apexnewsgh.com, the Ghana Nurses-Midwife Trainees Association Women Commissioner Deborah Ayarigah said the restoration of the allowance is no longer satisfactory as expected.
According to Deborah, most of their colleagues are left stranded, because the allowance they need to pay for their registration is not coming as expected.
“We are pleading with the government to speed up with the payment of our allowance”.
“How can we be happy about this, we are really hurt about this thing”. She stressed
Even though she believes the government has been honest with them, she blamed those responsible for paying them the allowance.
