High Aimers Association, is a group formed 12 years ago to support issues of development in the Upper East Region. As part of their humanitarian responsibilities have donated some assorted items to Timataaba Orphanage Home in the Talensi District of the Upper East on a boxing day.
According to the group leader of High Aimers Mr. Zure Josbert Nworibey who spoke to Apexnewsgh.com after the donation, the motive was to show love and care by celebrating the Christmas festivity with the orphans as a way of letting them know that they are not left out even as other children were fortunate to celebrate the festivity with their biological parents.
“We realized that the children living in the orphanage are not there on their own making, they are the less privileged and they are innocent children and it wasn’t their wish to come and stay somewhere outside their biological parent. So, we realized that in our group, we are all married and we have children, so we feel like why must we only celebrate the season with our children alone whiles some children are somewhere without having the same opportunity. So, we feel there is a need to share with these children after celebrating Christmas with our children on December 25, 2020.”
However, sharing his experience, Mr. Nworibey said from what High Aimers has witnessed at the scene, the place needs some level of attention. As he called well-meaning citizens of the region home and abroad to come to the aide of Timataaba Orphanage Home.
“When we got there, in fact, where they live is a place some of us would wish that in the near future, the place will see a new look to enable them to live a better life.
And you know Talensi and Nabdam is almost the same, it is of late that it was separated and Timataaba is the nearest and one of the youngest in the region per our survey.” He stressed
Meanwhile, the in-charge at the Timataba Orphanage Home Janet Ndaan who received the items expressed excitement with the kind gesture shown by the group as she prays for more open doors and blessings upon the member of High Aimers Association.
Timataaba is not known, people should come in. our main focus was to support or run it by ourselves but along the line, where we were getting our fund by transacting of business general atomic, they bought the computers and didn’t return the money and we started facing challenges, then after that, we started seeking for friends who are closer for support. And indeed, some have heard and come to our aide like you people High Aimers Association we pray that God will connect you more.” She said
However, items donated by the Association includes Key soap, omo, soft drink, used clothing, biscuits and envelope of an undisclosed cash amount.
