The Upper East Regional Chairman of the opposition Convention People’s Party (CPP) Alhaji Huseini Ibrahim Baba has admonished the governing New Patriotic Party leadership to remember those who gave them the opportunity to acquire the positions they currently see themselves.

According to Alhaji Baba who was invited to represent his party at the NPP regional annual conference in Bolgatanga GNAT Hall, per his observation, party grassroots were neglected because those given the opportunity to serve turned a blind eye on them.

“What is killing us is that, the moment you assumed position you turned a blind eye on those who helped you to get to that position. Because I have visited all the 15 constituencies and am telling honorable regional minister shine ye eye” he stressed

He admonished the National Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party John Boadu to consider listening to the grassroot if they want they party to succeed.

“Mr. General Secretary, this is for you. You are the Chief Administrator of the party and I will tell you that, if you want to succeed, listen to the grass root. Sometimes, people will come to you and sing the chorus you want to hear”.

He also advised those aspiring to become regional party executives to support those already in the position they are eying than rather chose to castigate them because they want to acquire the same position.

However, the Upper East Regional Chairman of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), believes the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is currently benefiting from the ideology and establishments of the CPP founder and Ghana’s first president Kwame Nkrumah.
