Kennedy Agyapong Member of Parliament for Assin Central has said that he is ahead of his other Member of Parliament in Ghana Parliament.
Mr. Agyapong made the revelation in an interview with Adom TV, Monitored by Apexnewsgh.com.
According to the Assin Central MP, a lot of people is of the belief that being a parliamentarian is a profitable venture, but stressing that Member of Parliament rather suffer more than what they receive as salaries.
He further explained that the reason why he is the most well-paid Member of parliament is simple because most of his colleague’s MPs in parliament continue taken several loans, particularly car loans that get deducted at source on monthly basis, and with that, they go home with just a peanut.
However, his case is different because, he does not go for any of these loans, the reason why he gets the exact amount at the end of every month in his account, unlike others.
“We all take our salaries alright, but I am currently the highest MP in terms of what goes into my account every month. Most of the MP’s owe car loan which gets deducted from their salary every month,” He said.
Meanwhile, Parliamentarians are currently requesting for an improved end of service benefit.
