Upper East NABCO Regional Secretariat Donates to Mama Laadi’s Foster Home in Bolgatanga

The Regional NABCO Secretariat has gone through the celebration of its Second year anniversary with a donation to the Mama Laadi Foster Home in Bolgatanga.

On October 17, 2020, the regional Secretariat and trainees of NABCO organized a cleanup exercise at the Bolgatanga Municipal main market as part of their lined up activities to mark their second-anniversary, as they also used the medium to introduce the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Bolgatanga Central Rex Asanga who equally joined NABCO trainees to clean the market.

However, the market women and men were satisfied for his participation in the cleanup exercise.

Meanwhile, due to Covid-19 and its effects on facilities like the Mama Laadi Foster Home, the Regional NABCO Secretariat decided to take part of its celebrations to the Children’s home to provide some relief and support.

Items donated to Mama Laadi Foster Home includes, bags of rice, maize, tomato paste, water, drinks, toiletries, face mask, cartoons of milk, washing and bathing soap, cooking oil among others.

The NaBCo initiative is solving public service delivery in health, education, agriculture, technology, governance and drive revenue mobilization and collection.

Some of the trainees have been posted to work at assigned places while others are still on training achieving knowledge and experiences and receiving wages as well.

Speaking at the short donation ceremony which took place at the premises of Mama Laadi’s Foster Home in Yorogo a community in Bolgatanga Municipal of the Upper East Region, the Regional Coordinator of NABCO Khan Jambeidu said, the Secretariat and trainees in the region decided to invest part of their resources to their brothers and sisters as part of their second-anniversary celebration especially in the era of COVID-19. Mr. Jambeidu believes, there is love in sharing.

However, receiving the donations, Laadi Ayine expressed gratitude as he thanked NABCO for their kind gesture especially by remembering the children during the 2020 celebration. She assured the trainees that the items donated will be put into good use to benefit the facilities and its beneficiaries.
