Mariano Werner (Ford) won this afternoon in the final of an interrupted competition of the Turismo Carretera (TC) of motorsport, which took place at the Rosamonte racetrack in the city of Posadas and concluded by extension of time and not with the estimated 25 laps.
The 34-year-old rider from Paraná set a cumulative time of 50m. 29s. 685/1000 to cover the 22 turns of the 4,370-meter route.
The race exhibited -at least- four neutralizations with entry of safety car, for different incidents and mistakes, which marginalized from the test Esteban Gini (Torino), Otto Fritzler (Ford), Emiliano Spataro (Ford), Juan Catalán Magni (Ford), Mauricio Lambiris (Ford), Christian Ledesma (Chevrolet), Diego Ciantini (Chevrolet) and Facundo Ardusso (Chevrolet), among others.
Werner, new leader of the championship with 241.5 units and two-time champion of the category for the titles in 2020 and 2021, won by 807 thousandths of a difference over the platense Gastón Mazzacane (Chevrolet).
The third step of the podium was in the hands of Matías Rossi (Toyota) from Buenos Aires, at 2s. 799/1000. The rionegrino José Manuel Urcera (Torino), last champion, finished fourth, at 3s. 053/1000.
While the reef Valentín Aguirre (Dodge) guaranteed the plurality of brands in the first positions, arriving fifth, at 3s. 727/1000.
Further back, Juan Bautista De Benedictis (Ford), the native of Tres Algarrobos, Juan Martín Trucco (Dodge), Leonel Pernía (Ford), Santiago Mangoni (Chevrolet) and Gabriel Ponce de León (Ford) from Juninense were columned to complete the top ten.
With these results and disputed the first eight competitions of the tournament, Werner (Ford) is the new leader with 241.5 points; escorted by the Mendoza Julian Santero (Ford), with 218.5.
Further back in the contest are Mangoni (Chevrolet), with 217.5 units; Lambiris (Ford), 209.5; Jonatan Castellano (Dodge), 203.5; Catalan Magni (Ford), 197.5.
In the TC Pista division, the final was in the hands of the Cordovan Facundo Chapur (Torino), who prevailed over the Salta Jeremías Olmedo (Ford) and the entrerriano Agustín Martínez (Ford).
The leader of the championship is the San Juan Tobias Martinez (Chevrolet), with 294 points; followed by Agustín Martínez (Ford), with 276.5.
The next race on the annual calendar will be at the El Villicum racetrack in San Juan on Sunday, July 23, where the so-called ‘Challenge of the Stars’ will be held.
