Pastor Kwebena Akongyaane Atogpelipe the man whose church is popularly known as “Jesus Kantamayoko Spiner” in Bongo Balungu of the Bongo District of the Upper East Region has explained the reason behind the Viral video of a woman manhandling a baby in his church.
When Apexnewsgh.com contacted the Spiner Pastor for his explanation he said: “The reason is that, our father lord Jesus Christ’s spirit entered into someone, and the spirit directed woman to celebrate with the child. So, with that, the child will be very strong in such a way he cannot be attacked by any witchcraft.
When asked why he the Pastor did not consider the child’s health, the Pastor responded that the lord who created the child is the same person who directed his spirit to celebrate with a child in that manner and so, he will not allow any harm on the child. He responded
He went further to inform Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh via phone that, In his church, any woman that gives birth, passes through that same tradition. Stressing that it has been the tradition for long.
The church is located on a hill about 300 meters away from the Goo JHS along the Zorkor -Yelwongo road.
Meanwhile, the video evidence available to ApexnewsGhana shows the baby’s mother who happens to be his wife wasn’t comfortable with the treatment given to her baby by the church member in the name of spirit.
Members of the general public who have sighted the heartbreaking video, have described the treatment of the baby as ‘inhumane’ as they called on the appropriate authorities to with immediate effect intervene to save future impending disaster.
