The Binduri District is on the verge of a major healthcare upgrade, following a state-of-the-art National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) office currently under construction. Apexnewsgh reports
According to Hon. Abdalai Abanga, Member of Parliament for the Binduri Constituency, the project is progressing steadily and is expected to be completed and handed over within the next month.
Hon. Abanga revealed that he personally lobbied for the project, driven by his vision to enhance healthcare delivery in the district for his people.
The new infrastructure is expected to significantly improve accessibility and efficiency in healthcare services for residents. This development aligns with the NHIA’s objective to provide financial risk protection against the cost of quality healthcare for all residents in Ghana.
The NHIA plays a crucial role in Ghana’s healthcare system, implementing and managing the National Health Insurance Scheme, registering members, and supervising private health insurance schemes. With the new office, residents of the Binduri District can expect better services, including easier registration, faster claims processing, and improved access to healthcare providers.
This development is a significant step towards achieving universal health insurance coverage in Ghana, particularly in rural areas like the Binduri District. As the NHIA continues to expand its reach, Ghanaians can look forward to improved health outcomes and a more efficient healthcare system.
