Deputy Roads Minister Apologises for Pokuase-Nsawam Road Delays, Assures Timely Completion

Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, Alhassan Suhuyini, has issued an apology to motorists for the inconvenience caused by the temporary suspension of construction works along the Pokuase-Nsawam road in the Greater Accra Region.

Appearing before the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament, Suhuyini expressed regret over the challenges faced by drivers during the period when work on the busy highway was halted. He reassured the committee and the public that the extension project has since resumed, with the contractor now back on site to continue construction.

Suhuyini emphasised that the project remains on schedule and reiterated the ministry’s commitment to ensuring its timely completion.

The Pokuase-Nsawam road serves as a vital artery for commuters and traders. Once the expansion is finished, it is expected to significantly reduce congestion and improve travel times for all road users.
