Government Completes Installation of First Unit of Modern Trains on Railway Track

Minister for Railways Development, John Peter Amewu, has announced that engineers have successfully completed the assembling and installation of the first unit of two modern trains procured by the government. Apexnewsgh reports

The trains, which arrived in Ghana from Poland about two weeks ago, are set to operate on both regional and long-distance lines for Ghana Railways.

Amewu stated that electrical and mechanical tests will be carried out soon to prepare for practical testing of the trains on the tracks. The government is dedicated to revamping railway transport in the country and this project marks a significant step towards achieving this goal.

The successful completion of the installation of the modern trains is a positive development for the railway sector in Ghana and signals progress in the government’s efforts to improve transportation infrastructure. Practical testing of the trains will begin soon, bringing the country closer to a modern and efficient railway system.
