Samuel Nartey George, the Minister-nominee for Communications, Digitalisation, and Innovation, has defended his straightforward communication style, emphasizing that he is not being disrespectful, but rather firm in expressing his views. Apexnewsgh reports

During his vetting by the Appointments Committee on Thursday, January 30, George addressed concerns about his approach to public discourse, stating, “I am not a disrespectful person. I have opinions, and I state them forcefully.”

George attributed his conviction and outspokenness to a deep commitment to his principles and the national interest. He believes that robust discussions and fearless articulation of ideas are essential for effective leadership and policy-making.

This stance is consistent with his previous defense of traditional family values at a UN summit, where he emphasized the importance of respecting the natural family unit and the rights of parents to determine their children’s moral education.¹

Assuring the Committee of his collaborative approach, George pledged to work with stakeholders in the digital and communications sector, maintaining professionalism while championing policies that advance Ghana’s technological progress.
