The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is optimistic about securing an unprecedented 85% of the vote in the Ashanti Region with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as its presidential candidate. Apexnewsgh reports

Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the party’s vice-presidential candidate, expressed this confidence at the Ashanti Regional Campaign Working Committee Meeting and Women’s Conference in Kumasi.

Prempeh emphasized the strategic advantage of having Bawumia on the ticket, citing his ability to mobilize support and reinforce the party’s stronghold in the region.

He highlighted the current administration’s social interventions, such as the Free SHS policy and National Health Insurance Scheme, which would be better safeguarded under an NPP government.

Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi-Boasiako reiterated the party’s commitment to achieving its goals, including winning all forty-seven constituencies.

Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, MP for Suame and Chairman of the NPP Manifesto Committee, stressed the need for a robust party structure to support an effective door-to-door campaign.

Chief of Staff Akosua Fremah Opare emphasized the crucial role of the NPP’s Women’s Wing in achieving the set target. The party is determined to not only maintain but significantly increase its dominance in the Ashanti Region, which has historically been its stronghold.
