The Chief Executive Officer of Tanga Radio, a local radio in the Upper East and a strong member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bolgatanga Central Constituency Hon. Agana Bawa has picked a form to contest the Upcoming internal primaries.
Before now, Mr. Bawa in 2015 contested with Hon. Rex Asanga and Hon Joe Amiyure and lost to Hon. Rex Asanga. In 2019, he decided to give Hon. Rex Asanga and others the opportunity to continue.
Speaking to Apexnewsgh.com after picking his form, Hon. Bawa believes the Almighty God has given him the blessing and the wisdom to see himself back to the race.
“Whatever God will add to me, I believe he has given it to me to pick the form and go back to the race again”.
Asking why he is contesting again after losing to Rex Asanga in the previous contest? he responded by saying: “There is a wise saying on our local dilate and I will translate it direct to you: If you have your farm and you go to farm this year and it did not yield well, you don’t stop farming, you would continue farming. If not, the day you stopped farming, probably that will be the year you would have gotten more yield and a good harvest. This is the year we are going to get a good harvest and I believe the good lord is leading me”.
However, he further described himself as a social worker, a community worker, “I have what we call…in terms of showing care to humanity. I can tell you that I have given all my best to the people of Bolgatanga Central Constituency”.
“I enjoy seeing people in the community happy and throughout a better part of my life, I have spent serving the people of Bolgatanga Central Constituency and I believe this is the time they will see a better side of me and make sure that at least they give me this opportunity to serve them in a better platform and bring more development to them”.
Appealing to delegates, Hon. Bawa said he seeks their mandate and he wants to plead with them that am a very humble soul, a calm person who is always prepared to serve his people beyond any level.
