The incident occurred on Tuesday morning at the NPP Constituency office, where Mr. Boakye Andrews was assaulted over his use of a party-branded vehicle. The dispute centered on a brand-new pickup truck donated by the party’s national executives during the 2024 general elections.

After the elections, the party leadership demanded the return of the vehicle, but Mr. Boakye Andrews reportedly refused to comply.

Tensions escalated, leading Chairman Joe Sala and several individuals to lock the party office and confront the Secretary. The confrontation turned violent, leaving Mr. Boakye Andrews with significant injuries. He is currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.

The incident has raised concerns within the party, with calls for a thorough investigation to ensure accountability and prevent further disputes. As the NPP works to address the situation, the party’s values of democratic accountability and individual freedoms are being put to the test.
