Former Ghanaian footballer, Odartey Lamptey, has made a shocking revelation about his past. Apexnewsgh reports
In an interview with Dan Kwaku Yeboah monitored by this platform, Lamptey disclosed that he almost used his gun when he discovered that the three children he had raised as his own were not biologically his.
Lamptey, who was overcome with emotion, revealed that patience and divine intervention prevented him from taking drastic action, which would have led to severe consequences. “I wanted to use my gun, which was in my Tundra, but I decided not to jeopardize my life. I was broken, but I chose to be patient, and that decision has brought me to where I am today. I believe God spoke to me and advised me against using the gun.”
Lamptey’s ordeal led him to become an advocate for paternity testing, encouraging men to verify the parentage of their children. While some have struggled to cope with similar situations, Lamptey’s emotional resilience has inspired others to seek guidance from him.
Regarding his relationship with the children, Lamptey’s lawyers advised him to maintain distance during the court case. Although he has not had contact with them since, he harbors no grudges and is willing to support them if needed. “It’s not their fault, and I’m always ready to help if necessary,” he emphasized.
Lamptey’s story serves as a testament to the power of patience, faith, and emotional intelligence in the face of adversity.
