The President’s nominee for the position of District Chief Executive (DCE) in the Tempane District Paul Abugri Azumah has witnessed what could be described as a humiliating rejection so far by the Assembly Members.
According to the voting which took place on Monday, October 4, 2021, a day after a regional annual delegates conference, the overconfident nominee failed woefully to secure the required two-thirds majority of valid votes.
Interesting, out of a total number of 25 Assembly Members mandated to vote, only 11 voted YES, representing 44% whiles 13 voted NO. This is unprecedented so far in the region.
Meanwhile, no ballot was spoiled.
