Strong NPP Member and Lecturer Condemns Ghc 4,500 Keyboard Request by Ghana Cocoa Board

Wilson Dabuo, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party and lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba, has spoken out against the Ghana Cocoa Board’s recent request for a Ghc 4,500 keyboard for its board members. Apexnewsgh reports

Describing the request as “wickedness and sheer incompassion,” Dabuo has joined the chorus of disapproval and outrage from both the general public and fellow NPP members.

The request, made in a letter dated February 26 by Deputy Information Systems Manager of Ghana Cocoa Board, Enoch Tettey Martey, has sparked criticism and raised questions about the priorities and spending habits of the board members. Many are left wondering why such an exorbitant amount is being spent on a single keyboard, especially when considering the economic challenges facing the country.

Dabuo’s condemnation of the request highlights the growing backlash against what is seen as an unjustifiable and extravagant expense. As Ghana continues to grapple with issues of poverty and lack of resources, the Ghc 4,500 keyboard request by the Ghana Cocoa Board serves as a stark reminder of the need for accountability and transparency in government spending.

“If not wickedness and sheer incompassion, how could Ghana’s COCOBOD procured 15 keyboards at a price of Ghs 4,500 each to help their board members who are over 60 years to be more productive and feel comfortable while working in the current circumstance of the Cocoa industry?

“The cocobod board is chaired by the respected Peter Mac Manu”.

“Members of the board:
Chief Executive Officer of COCOBOD, Mr Joseph Boahen Aidoo
