I am still a member of the NDC and not even …

The former Deputy General Secretary of the NDC and President of the Atta Mills Institute, Koku Anyidoho has confirmed he is still a member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC). Apexnewsgh.com report In a letter to Mr. Anyidoho sighted by Citi News, the NDC said it found Mr. Ayindoho guilty of “misconduct and anti-party behaviour.” “The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) acting in compliance of article 48 (1) of the NDC Constitution unanimously adopted the report and accepts full responsibility for your expulsion from the Party,” the letter added. Mr. Anyidoho had been serving a suspension that begun on February 8, 2021, after his consistent criticism of the party Some NDC members had been complaining about Mr. Anyidoho’s conduct and called for him to be expelled. For instance, the Bono Regional Deputy Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Eric Adjei, wrote to the party’s National Executive Committee asking for his expulsion. He had cited some tweets and news reports which showcased the former party executive’s critical stance towards the NDC. The NDC said Mr. Anyidoho cannot be “recognized as a member of the party and cannot carry [himself] as such.”  Meanwhile, according to Mr. Anyidoho, he is an active member in good standing as far as National Democratic Congress is concerned and nobody, not even Asiedu Nketia can Unilaterally say he has sacked him from the NDC. The former Deputy Secretary said, he has his new registered membership card and he also paid his dues. “I am still a full member of the National Democratic Congress, in the new registration, I have registered in my constituency in Kanigbe in the Ho Central constituency in the Volta Region. In my branch, I have my membership card, I paid my dues. Nobody, I repeat nobody certainly not even Asiedu Nketia can Unilaterally say he has sacked Koku Anyidoho from the NDC. It is wishful thinking of the National Democratic Congress”. He spoke at A1radio monitored by Apexnewsgh.com on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. Asiedu Nketia as party chairman will ensure that there’s equal opportunity–Ras Mubarak

Former Member of Parliament for Kumbungu Ras Mubarak has intesified campaign for the election of Johnson Asiedu Nketia as the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). According to the former MP, Mr. Asiedu Nketia as party chairman will ensure that there’s equal opportunity for everyone irrespective of class or creed. Below are his views: Why the NDC Must Elect ASIEDU NKETIA as National CHAIRMAN. In the coming days, I’ll share with my followers why Peter Boamah Otokunor, Ph.D, is my choice for the Position of General Secretary and Sidii Abubakar Musah the most suitable candidate for the National Organizer of our great party. But let me start this morning with the National Chairman position. Love him or loathe him, Johnson Asiedu Nketia is our best bet for the position of National Chairman. The argument against Mr. Nketia is that he’s been around for so long. That is a fact. But so has his main contender. The fact is in politics, you cannot throw away experience. Asiedu Nketia is not susceptible to manipulation. You simply cannot get him to join you to do the wrong thing. He’s straight forward. He’s the type of person who will tell you in your face you are wrong even if you were his best friend. In politics you need that. The next presidential election would be a fight for the heart and soul of our country. You need a party Chairman who knows the opponent inside out. The current government has messed up so badly, they would do everything- including using the corrupt elements in the police, military and other security agencies to subvert the will of of the people as they did in the 2020 election.Asiedu is courageous. As party chairman he would deliver. Asiedu Nketia has always been in support of expanding our party’s electoral college. He’s promised to deliver this as National Chairman. He was one of the few voices at the national headquarters who kicked against a return to the old and corrupt “delegates system.” If you are offended by corruption and obscene monetization in our politics, like the one we saw in Tamale recently, where each constituency was given 56,000 cedis to vote for some candidates, then Asiedu Nketia, is your candidate for National Chairman. The corrupt elements in our party are happy with the delegates system because they can pump their corrupt monies into our politics. Asiedu Nketia is against corruption and against a system that makes it easier for people to manipulate delegates. A vote for Asiedu Nketia is a vote for opportunities for Dzifa, Ahmed or Kweku, who without money bags have little or no chance of holding key positions in our party. Asiedu Nketia as party chairman will ensure that there’s equal opportunity for everyone irrespective of class or creed. He’s a thoroughbred party man. I appeal to our party’s delegates to choose wisely. To choose Asiedu Nketia for National Chairman. He’s the Chaiman our opponents are afraid of. “Why should we trust his decision in IMF Negotiations? Suhuyini reaction after President Akufo-Addo requested for more…

Alhassan Suhuyini, Member of Parliament for Tamale North is alleging that President Akufo-Addo’s dialogues with the Majority Caucus is to buy the Finance Minister time to cover up some alleged financial crimes. Mr. Suhuyini said the majority members of Parliament calling for Ken Ofori-Atta’s sacking must be vigilant and not allow President Akufo-Addo deceive them to buy time for his cousin. He spoke on Good Morning Ghana. Mr. Suhuyini sighted conflict of interest allegations against the Finance Minister, as Un-constitutional withdrawals from the Consolidated Fund, illegal payment of oil revenues into offshore accounts, in flagrant violation of Article 176 of the 1992 Constitution among others. “If we are here because he took bad decisions to bring us here, why should we trust his decision in IMF Negotiations? You should not be comfortable to allow him lead us into IMF.” He said. “You should not be giving him time to take the skeletons out of the cupboard… I know my colleagues on the majority side have endured him for too long but they must act on principle and not waiver. There are concerns within their party so they must fight Ken Ofori-Atta based on principles.” The Tamale North MP said. “If you’re willing to give him time to take us through IMF when all his previous decisions are suspect, then may be you are giving him time to cover up” he kept insisting.“The majority must stay committed to rescuing this country. They must support the mo-tion we in the majority have filed to censure the Finance Minister” he added. Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana For publication please kindly contact us on 0256336062 or Email:Apexnewsgh

NDC does not want this country destroyed–Asiedu Nketia

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said the leadership of NPP came to Parliament to beg the NDC to allow them select a first deputy speaker and in the end, a word was sent from the Presidency that they are also begging, so, they agreed. According to Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia who was speaking at the 40th-anniversary commemoration of the 31st December Revolution in Accra, “NDC does not want this country destroyed, so, we agreed” “Still, they persisted and virtually begged us that they do not want to disgrace Ghana.” “Immediately, we agreed, the first statement that came from Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu after the swearing-in was that we begged them and that there was no election in Parliament to select a first deputy speaker.” “Those of you accusing NDC of not being interested in negotiations should listen carefully: As if that was not enough, immediately after the second deputy speaker was selected, he also addressed the press and declared his support for the NPP. “What does that mean?: That the NPP used trickery to select the two deputy speakers,” Asiedu Nketia said. NPP man’s name appears on NDC sack list

Another one of the eighteen persons who the National Democratic Congress claims to have axed from the party for contesting the 2020 elections as independent candidate has come out to deny ever being member of the party. Dr Bonja Ishmael Anchomese of Krachi Nchumuru has challenged the NDC to provide any evidence of his association with the party. He disclosed that he has been a card-bearing member of the NPP since 2011 and has no affiliations with the opposition party. “If they don’t know their members, they should go and do their homework well. As we speak, I don’t even have a pencil belonging to the NDC,” he told Asempa FM. “I was never part of the NDC and I will never be part of the NDC. I decided to go independent but changed my mind. Even the colours of my posters show shades of red, blue and white, which are NPP colours.” Dr Anchomese also said that following talks with the leadership of the NPP he has decided to withdraw his candidature for the 2020 elections. Predicting doom for NDC in the coming elections, Dr Anchomese said he is joining forces with the NPP to win both the parliamentary and presidential seats in the area. “But the elders of the party advised me against the move. They said if my decision is about the development of the area, I should join forces with the NPP candidate so we can progressively work to develop the constituency. It is not about my personal interest so I agreed and rejoined the party,” he explained. On Thursday, David Tiki Dange an independent candidate for the Damongo Constituency threatened to take the NDC to court if they do not remove his name from the list. He, like Dr Anchomese said he has never been a member of the party and tasked them to do due diligence. “One would have expected a meticulous inquiry to ascertain the authenticity of this fact before the compilation of such list. “I want to state categorically that I have never been a member of the National Democratic Congress, in fact, I have never borne any political party card in my life,” a statement said to have been signed by Dange reads.
