Executives of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bongo Constituency in a report presented to the Local Government and Rural Development Minister against the District Chief Executive Rita Atanga says, she embarked on a familiarization tour within the district without the involving Party Executives. Apexnewsgh.com report “After her confirmation, the Hon. DCE embarked on a familiarization tour within the District. As worthy as such tours were to the Assembly, our Party could not take the due advantage of same. Party Executives at all levels within the constituency were not informed”. The report also said, the DCE visited Traditional Chiefs without the usual involvement of Polling Station Executives, Electoral Area Coordinators, and Constituency Executives who are seen as the face of the Party. “Worse of it all are Traditional Areas, where Assembly Members who are members of the fraternity were not informed. Not even a call from the Constituency Chairman and Executives on her to at least involve Electoral Area Coordinators and Assemble Members sympathetic towards the NPP was heeded to. Per the report, they believes “the consequences of such action if not addressed will lead to disaffection and apathy among the rank and file of our party in the Constituency. Meanwhile, the Executives in the report to the Local Government Minister say all their efforts which include several invitations from the Chairman and Elders extended to her for a meeting to resolve all the issues were turned down by the DCE. The report was released to the media following an accusation by a party member Wilson Dabuo who claimed the former DCE Peter Ayinbisa and executives are attempting to remove the current DCE from office. Am not coming to be an armchair Reg. Com Dir, kindly resind your decision—Peter Ayinbisa to Aggrieved Communicators
The Upper East Regional Communication Director for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Peter Ayinbisa has revealed that he is not coming to overburden anyone communicator because he is coming not to be armchair Regional Communication Director. Apexnewsgh.com report “So, for me, am not coming to be an armchair leader to come and load it on anybody, am coming to work with them, am coming to learn from them and they also learn from me. So, using your medium once again to appeal to our friends that have to stop communicating hardly because of my appointment and because of procedure, I want to urge them to rescind their decision and join the team and let us work together for unity of our party”. “Because we are all talking about breaking the 8, it means we have to break the 8 together, we need quality numbers and we need the communicators to join so that we can break the 8 together. I know none of them will want to see the NPP going into opposition, we want this party to continue to grow. So that the work we have started, and the gains we have made will be able to continue and consolidate those gains so that the benefit will come to our people. So, am urging them to reconsider their decision and join me and the rest of the team. So, that we can continue what we do best”.He pleaded Meanwhile, the NPP communicators in the region have deserted radio stations in the region following the appointment of Peter Ayinbisa as the Regional Communication Director for the governing New Patriotic Party in the Region. It will be difficult to break the 8 with half-truth or hearsay information–Former NPP DCE to party
Peter Ayinbisa, the former District Chief Executive of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has revealed, that it will be difficult for the party succeeds on its agenda of breaking the 8 with half-truth information or hearsay. The former DCE made the pronouncement during an exclusive interview with Apexnewsgh.com on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, following the event of what looks like a piece of leaked information from the newly elected regional executives “So, that means someone within the meeting or some people within the meeting leaked out such information and that is where my surprises and worries come from because this is a very new party office that has just been elected less than 2 weeks ago and their first meeting information leaked. There is a source of worry for me and the party and am worried about that. “It will be difficult to break the 8 with half-truth information or hearsay information. With the information that is not accurate. Because these are executives who are supposed to keep their mouth shut, these are people who have sworn the oath of secrecy, these are people who have sworn an official oath and this oath says that you should not divulge any official information to outsiders when you are not asked to do so and just after a meeting, information is been divulged and people are now writing based on the information they received after the meeting”. “I believe is not a good cause for our party, if we don’t desist from it, it means we are going to have a divided front because I was told and also reading from the write up they had to end the meeting inconclusively because some people thought that the name that where pumping around, they didn’t like those names and others have other names they mentioned and others didn’t agree. So, it means that, each time we hold a meeting information will be leaked out. So, how can these individuals hold a critical campaign meeting that it will not go out to the opposition NDC? Am just worried. And I believe going forward, if it continues like this, the party will not experience any growth in this region. That was what happen in 2014 and 2015 which lead to some suspension of some personalities at the national level. Because, each time they held a meeting, within two hours, the information was in the hands of the NDC”. He stressed According to the former DCE, “It means that, whatever the region will plan the constituencies’ how-to strategizes, how to snack the only seats that have been occupied by the opposition, that information will be leaked, if it leaks, it’s a dead matter for us. That will mean that we cannot plan well and whatever information we put across or plan to do, would be picked by the NDC far even before we begin to execute that idea. So, it is going to be an exercise in fidelity. “I urged the new crop of executives, very fine young men and women. They have all been closed to the party by voice in various capacities. Some have been there before they come back. The first Vice, the second Vice, and the Chairman have been there as treasurer and as chairman. And now as chairman moving to begin his second term. The women organizer have been there before she is been retained. A youth Organizer is a new person, but he has held various positions before, he was the deputy national coordinator for TESCON. So, that is a party position he has held before. The assistant secretary, all of them have had a good time with the party and have held various positions. He recounted. I have not on any occasion called on any regional executive or lobby for any appointment–Peter Ayinbisa
The former Bongo District Chief Executive (DCE) Peter Ayinbisa has disassociated himself from the information gaining momentum on social media which says, he is going around lobbying for the position of a Regional Communication Director for the governing New Patriotic Party in the region. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, the former DCE said: “i have not by any such of any imagination, I have not on any occasion called on any regional executive that has just been elected to lobby for an appointment and I have not asked anyone to do lobbying on my behalf and I have not been told that, people have lobbied for me and I have been given the opportunity to serve as the regional communication position”. The former DCE in the recent just regional party elections contested the Organizer’s position, even though he couldn’t win, he made remarkable progress by losing to his opponent with just 27 votes after making his intention known a month before the election. “What I do know is that, I wanted to be a member of the team as the organizer for the region. The good delegates of our region, have good reason to think that it should not be me at this material moment. So, I accept the verdict by the delegates. But of course, the delegates did a good job, this is the first time I have come on board and I used one month for the campaign, some other people used more than two years, after the 2018 elections, they went back to the drawing board and started campaigning. They sponsored and followed the constituency elections. I did not, because I declared my intention shortly after the constituency election. So, i would have loved to be part of the team as the Organizer”. “So, when I lost, I took it easy because I believed in the delegate’s ability to decide who should be the organizer. So, I have not told anybody that I want to be the Regional Communication Director for that matter so they should give it to me. Am surprised, reading yesterday’s comment by some people who have come to say that, why should I bring myself that low? That i am struggling to become the regional communication director am surprised. But am aware that, the regional executive met 2 days ago and one of the reasons they met was to deliberate on the appointments. “I have not heard and not been briefed on any information from the meeting but I was surprised to hear and read from people that my name was mentioned at that meeting”. “So, I believe that those who have written those things extensively on social media were not in the meeting. UER: Bolgatanga-Bongo Road Developing Potholes After 2years Of Construction
Bolgatanga-Bongo road which was started with what construction engineers normally described as ‘reshaping’ by the NDC Mills-Mahama administration between 2009/2010 and later completed by Akufo-Addo-Bawumia New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration in 2019 has started deteriorating with dangerous potholes. The road was constructed by Myturn Company Limited. The current state of the road looks to us like a timing bomb gradually waiting to explode. Meanwhile, if nothing urgent is done by way of maintaining the road by authorities responsible it might cause serious harm to innocent road users. Sadly, these potholes were seen positioned in the middle of the tarred road. The developing potholes were identified by Apexnewsgh.com during their visit to the Bongo district on Saturday, July 23, 2021. NPP Bongo Youth Organizer wishes DCE nominees well, as he admonished them to support President choice
The Youth Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bongo Constituency of the Upper East Region who double as the Bongo Youth Employment Director Justin Atindaana has extended his sincerest goodwill message and best wishes to the various aspiring candidates who applied for the position of District Chief Executive in the Bongo District. In a Press Statement captured by apexnewsgh.com on Sunday, January 17, 2021, the Youth Organizer said, all the aspirants who applied for the DCEship position are all competent with great enviable credentials, as he prays for best to be shortlisted. However, he appealed to the shortlisted members to embrace one another by supporting who catches the eyes of the President because NPP is known as a party that respects the tenets and principles of democracy. “The NPP has always been touted as a party that respects the tenets and principles of democracy and it is my prayer that, the various aspirants who may not make it in the vetting should throw their unflinching weight of support behind the emerged nominee by His Excellency the President after the vetting”. Below is the full statement: NPP CONSTITUENCY YOUTH COMMANDER WRITES: My best wishes to DCE nominee aspirants of Bongo District. On the filing of nominations for the Bongo District Chief Executive portfolio, i wish to respectfully convey my sincerest goodwill and best wishes to the various aspirants who will be going through vetting tomorrow at the Regional Coordinating Council, seeking to occupy the highest political office of the District. All the aspirants are all competent with great enviable credentials and may the best be shortlisted. The NPP has always been touted as a party that respects the tenets and principles of democracy and it is my prayer that, the various aspirants who may not make it in the vetting should throw their unflinching weight of support behind the emerged nominee by His Excellency the President after the vetting. The office of the DCE plays a very crucial role in the political and administrative discharge of duties that augments the developmental vision of the Party. It is widely a public knowledge that, the President has performed outstandingly well on the delivery of his promises which the youth of Bongo irrespective of one’s political affiliation are much impressed and ready to sustain the 2020 camaderie and high-spirited enthusiasm that characterized the campaigns. However, the youth is looking forward to a DCE who understands the dynamics of grassroots politics so that we can retain power and annex the Parliamentary seat from the NDC come 2024. Humility and affability, charismatic leadership qualities in pulling onboard floating voters alongside attracting our friends from the other political divide, youth empowerment in the District through job creation, educational support through scholarships, lobbying, advocating and facilitating youth recruitment into the various security services, party unification, open door leadership and services devoid of factionalism etc, is the utmost anticipation of our relentless vibrant youth of Bongo. I wish to also seize this opportunity to express my profound gratitude to the numerous calls and meetings from party elders, leadership, Electoral area coordinators and poling station executives tirelessly impressing on me to file for the nomination of the DCE position. I do humbly respect your position but i wish to plead for your permission to contribute in the building and growth of the party until a divine opportuned time. Not that withstanding, I will continue to place your interest and welfare first in the Party knowing the consistently exerted deep passion you have demonstrated for party activism regardless of what you earn in return. It will therefore amount to a dangerous suicide for the party if the DCE in waiting assumes office and turns a blind eye and death ear on the workaholic youth of the party. It is my humble expectation that, the youth will be considered as the engine of the party and be given maximum priority and attention ahead of 2024 elections. The future of the party largely lines in the hands of the youth. Congratulations to all aspirants and may the competent one among you be selected. God bless NPP, God bless Bongo. Signed………. BONGO: A must read campaign message from Peter Ayinbisa as he files nomination form
Before the filling of his nomination form on Friday, Peter Ayinbisa participated in a public forum organized by A1 radio a Bolgatanga based radio station. The initiative dubbed ‘PEOPLE’S FORUM’ a programme designed to engage constituents together with their aspiring parliamentary candidates as a way of letting those aspiring to know issues affecting the people in case they were given the opportunity serve them in parliament . The Programme was fully monitored by Apexnewsgh.com, where the parliamentary candidates for PPP, GUM and NPP fully participated, but unfortunately, the candidate of the opposition NDC who equally given an invitation such as other candidates, told our source that he will not be part of the programme because he will be moving back to Accra as parliament has resumed. But unfortunately, just a minute after the engagement with the other parliamentary candidates, the NDC candidate Edward Bawa was seen near the Bongo Rural bank with some of his supporters, just fews steps to the lorry park where the PEOPLE’S FORUM event took place. However, his absence could not prevent the PEOPLE’S FORUM which ended very successful and interesting with massive participation of citizens of Bongo. Meanwhile, Ayinbisa visited the paramount Chief of the Bongo Traditional area Bon Naaba Salifu Atamale Lemyarum to officially informed him about his readiness to proceed with the filling process to the Electoral Commission(EC) “From now onwards, we are going to intensify our campaigns, we are not going to relent, we are not going to relax, we will continue to campaign, move from village to village, community to community, area to area and house to house until we are declared winners of the Bongo Constituency elections. From here as you can see, we are entering the Zorko community particularly Kadare where we are going to continue explaining government policies and telling them they need to maintain Nana Akufo Addo giving him 4 more years to continue his good works and giving me to the opportunity to serve the people of Bongo as their Member of Parliament. The Bongo people obviously will love to retain Nana Addo for the coming elections. What we are telling the electorate to do now, is to change the direction of the parliamentary votes, because since 1992, has controlled and enjoyed this constituency as they continue to get the majority votes to represent them. But since 1992, we have had various people representing us such as Gaaga, Albert Abongo, Alangre now to Edward Bawa. All of them have contributed to some level of development in the constituency, they have done their part, and they are no more interested in the elections but now, it is my senior brother Bawa who is in the race. What am telling the electorate is that, they should put us together; they should look at our records, look at the NDCs record and look at the NPPs record. They should look at the NPPs records in their first 4 years in government and look at the NDCs records their first 4 years in government, compare the record sector by sector. Let’s look at Education, what do they do? Let’s look at health what do they do, let’s look at good governance, what do they do, let’s look at agriculture, what do they do? So when we compare the two parties, what we have done for the people of Bongo, then, people of Bongo will be in a better position to judge which party should retain power and which parliamentary candidate should be elected. By the time this assessment is done, nobody will choose any other political party than the New Patriotic Party (NPP).” However, the District Chief Executive who doubles as the parliamentary candidate for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bongo District, used the opportunity to admonish officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) to do their works without taking sides, because according to him, the constitution of the Republic of Ghana does not allow EC officials to participate in active politics. “Avoid posting partisan thing on social media, it is not allowed.” He added Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana Please kindly contact Apexnewsgh.com on Email: apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications.
