NPP Communicators dump Ken Ofori Atta’s Databank

Communicators of the New Patriotic Party(NPP)  in the Upper East Region have served notice they are no longer willing to speak in defense of Databank and  Black Stars Brokerage both of which the current Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta has an interest. Wunison Khan Jambeidu who is a member of the Communications Team of the NPP in the Upper East Region insists that they have done enough dirty work for these two entities wondering why the Public Affairs Directorate of these companies is not living up to the billing. He indicated that it is not under the purview of the NPP to defend private businesses caught up in controversy, adding that they have had enough of the bashing “I think that these two companies (Databank and Black Stars Brokerage) will have to be up and doing. They have Corporate Affairs departments, what are those departments doing? You have the NDC dragging these two companies over the last four-five years and we don’t hear these companies come out to defend themselves. It has to take me; it has to take the communications team of the party to defend them because these are party people. These companies belong to them or they have shares in these companies or though currently they have offloaded these shares and are not shareholders or directors of these companies,” he said on Dreamz Fm’s News Digest. According to him “The Corporate Affairs departments of these companies would have to begin to speak for their companies. We have defended these companies enough. Look at this time [5 minutes] am using to deal with this matter, I’d have used these minutes to be able to tell our listeners how the cedi is depreciating and what government and the Bank of Ghana are doing”. —Mynewsgh Please contact Apexnewsgh.com on email apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications. JUST IN: Over 300,000 People on NABCO Career pathways portal is a factor for slow system

The Director in charge of, Business Research and Skills Development at the Nation Builders Corps Head Office Mubarak Bowan in an exclusive interview has told Apexnewsgh.com that the career pathways portal produced for NABCO beneficiaries across the country wasn’t fast as expected because over 300,000 people who are not trainees were trying hard to log in to see if they have access to the system with different motives. “…you must understand that is not only trainees who are trying to log in, there are over 300,000 people who are not trainees who are trying to log in to see if they can have access to the system. The motive is that someone who has finish National Service is not on NABCO but have heard that there is this portal that leads to permanent jobs and they are trying to see, is there a way I can move in. Others have heard of it; they are not NABCO trainees but they want to see how it looks like. Some have heard that the way it is structured for you to create your profile and CV, is according to an international standard, so they want to see if they can use it to also build their own profile. So, that is the second group of people and then you have a third group of people who are just hackers and those ones are not only from Ghana. So, we have identified an attempt to log into the system from the U.K, USA, China, Russia, and from the Middle East.” He told Apexnewsgh.com However, he admonished those perpetuating such act including hackers to stop, to enable beneficiaries, go through the registration process successfully without facing all these load challenges due to their unfortunate actions and inactions. “…but it is very simple, once you don’t have the identifiable access, you will not be able to log in. So, the pressure will continue a bit and fissile out, because people who will realize that once am not a NABCO trainee I cannot log in will stop. As for the hackers, we deal with them on a daily basis.” He concluded Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana/Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen Please contact Apexnewsgh.com on email apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications

JUST IN: Important Information For All NABCO Beneficiaries Struggling With Career Pathways Portal

The Director in charge of Business Research and Skills Development at the Head office of the Nation Builders Corps Mubarak Bowan in an exclusive interview has told Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com, that those complaining about their information’s are missing the system after been saved, must make sure they complete the mandatory space in each section. “Each section has a mandatory form, if you want to save a section and come back later, you must have completed all the mandatory space. If you don’t complete all the mandatary space and saved it, the system deems it as an incomplete section, and the next time you opened it, it brings out the whole thing for you to refill. So, you must fill the complete section and save it to come back later to proceed.” According to Mr. Bowan, some of the remedies in preventing the system from crashing is by putting in place a queue in control, so that once the system reaches its limits, it prevents additional people from putting a load on the system. “…every system is built with a capacity and limit, if you bridge the limit or the capacity, the system will crash. Some of the remedies in preventing the system from crashing is that, at the back end, we put a queue in control. So once the system reaches its limit, it prevents additional people from putting loads on the system. Let say, we have a 20,000 limit, and it reaches a 20, 000 limit if you want to log in, it will put you in a cue. So, that is why it delays your login in, immediately somebody drops out, it allows you to go in. So, every attempt is queued. So, the number of people who log out will create a space for those who want to log in. If you try to log in and the system is allowing you, what it means is that the system is congested.” However, he said even though they receive a lot of these complaints every day by day, thousands of people still have access to go through the process successfully. “…we keep receiving the complaints, but we have thousands of thousand that have completed the process. The other way is, take out the limit and the system will crash and no one has access to it, but that is not the way to go. So is a preventive measure to ensure that the system doesn’t crash.” He said Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana/Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen Please contact Apexnewsgh.com on email apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications

Speaking in an interview on the sidelines of a graduation ceremony for NABCO trainees under the NABCO Skill and Talent Academy, he expressed excitement that following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU) with the National Board for Small Scale Industries, these personnels will be better equipped for the future. While admonishing personnel to demonstrate diligence and a high sense of integrity, Mr. Bowan urged NABCo trainees to value the skills development opportunities as well as the knowledge acquisition to create better lives after they exit the programme. About 540 Nation Builders Corps, NABCO personnel have completed courses under the NABCO Skill and Talent Academy in Financial management, Data Analytics and Decision Makings, Data Science for engineers, Design of Educational Application using web Technologies, Human Resource, ICT in Classroom Teaching as well as Strategic Management. JUST IN: NABCO career pathways portal is working accordingly, those complaining must make sure they use the correct site- Mubarak Bowan

The Director in charge of Business Research and Skills Development at the Head office of the Nation Builders Corps Mubarak Bowan in an exclusive interview told Apexnewsgh.com that the career pathways portal produced for NABCO beneficiaries across the country is working accordingly. Therefore, those complaining about the portal inactiveness must make sure they used the correct link. Because to him, since the portal was introduced to receive applications from Interested beneficiaries, there has not been any form of hitches so far. However, even though Mr. Bowan believes all is well with the portal, he said the load on the portal might be a contributing factor that can slow down the system. “First of all, you must get the correct link, we announced the opening of the portal, and quickly we are monitoring it. When we opened it that night, within 3 hours, we have over 400 people who already login, and we realized that the initial complaint was that people did not copy the link well. So, when you don’t copy the link well, it wouldn’t open. Then, the next day we received further complaints and I continue monitoring the system, there were 1400 people log in and when I was going to respond to the system, I went back to check and they were 1900 people log in when I finished typing the response, I went back to check and they were almost 17,000 on the platform. That is what normally happened to a server as the load increases, the server is built in such a way that, it is not allowed to crash. So, when the load gets to its maximum level, it will prevent others from adding to the load. So, when you are trying to log in, it wouldn’t log in and you will see that it will stay on and later say the site cannot be reached, and then, it takes you off. But As soon as some people logged off.” “So, the process is open till the 30th of November, it is not a two-day timeline, is not a one-day timeline, we calculated it and that is how come we gave 3 weeks.” “Continue to monitor it and you would see that daily as we go, the complaint of ‘I can’t log in’ will diminish, because already you have almost 20,000 people who are almost finishing the process, so it is the load but the connectivity is also important. There are some areas you have less than 3G networks and you may have to change a network to be able to do it or may have to move to a different location where the connectivity strength is better. It will open but is just that, it will take a long time to open.” http://www.careerpathways.nabco.gov.gh/   Meanwhile, the correct and accurate site to work with is the one above, to avoid any inconvenience. 540 NABCO beneficiaries who registered for the Skills and Talent Academy training programme which was launched during the NABCO first anniversary by his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo have successfully graduated. The NABCO skills and Talent Academy was launched and was intended to be used for delivering learning and human capital development tools to trainees, for skills upskilling and reskilling of talents. These skills development tools in addition to the trainee’s workplace practical skills acquired are to enable every trainee transition through the various exit pathways, namely, retention, entrepreneurship, and further learning. The graduation which took place at the premises of Ghana-Indian Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence on Saturday, November 14, 2020, saw most grandaunts wearing excited faces when receiving their certificates. Speaking to the Director in charge of, Business Research and Skills Development Mubarak Bowan at the graduation venue, he told Apexnewsgh.com that the Skills and Talent Academy programme, is a work and learning programme and as well, a life improvement and life-building process under NABCO to make young graduates, men and women more skillful to improve their employability to encourage and invoke their innovative idea and innovative skills to get them to be able to venture into areas they may never thought of going into. According to Mr. Bowan, NABCO deployed over 480 certificate programmes online, and over 33,000 of the NABCO trainees out of the 100,000 registered for the courses before the lockdown, but over 540 beneficiaries were able to finish their courses successfully in various thematic areas. … so, we are graduating those who successfully finished the programme from the northern zone here in Bolgatanga, on Monday we will be graduating another set from the middle zone, and on Tuesday will be graduating another set from the Coastal belt. For those who are still working to complete their certification, when they finish, we will have a way of seeing them through. But some did not complete their courses but participated and they will also get the certification of participation to acknowledge that take part in gaining knowledge in those areas. However, he acknowledged the partnership between the Ghana-Indian Kofi Annan Centre of Excellent in ICT and NABCO as he indicated that their cooperation will continue to benefit beneficiaries who are willing to the advantage of the online courses. However, the Director-General of Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT Kwasi Adu-Gyan who was the guest of honor at the graduation ceremony said, after NABCO was established and launched by His Excellency Akufo Addo, there was a discussion for capacity building and skill development of NABCO graduates. “His excellency established NABCO as a way of engaging unemployed graduates, I mean people who have graduated from the University, but for one reason or the other have not been able to get a permanent job. So, it was established as a temporally, where we bring them, train them and then retool them for the industry.” He said According to him, these activities fall into the mandate of setting up the Ghana-Indian Kofi Annan Centre of Excellent in ICT which is to bridge the gap between academia and the industry. …so there was a connection between NABCO and Ghana-Indian Kofi Annan Centre of Excellent in ICT, so we had a wonderful agreement, an MOU to train the numerous NABCO participants.” We developed a platform to engage those who will not be able to come face to face and we allow them to participate online virtually. We also upgraded our E-learning platforms with the necessary equipment to reach where ever NABCO personnel maybe. However, addressing NABCO grandaunts during the graduation ceremony, he encourages them to continue taking advantage of the Skills and Talent Academy programme by enrolling in some other courses, because that is the only way to prepare themselves ahead in the job market. Meanwhile, grandaunts who received their certificates after going through the training successfully expressed satisfaction to the leadership of Nation Builders Corps for such a wonderful opportunity. Some other top NABCO national officials were present to grace the graduation ceremony, including the Upper regional coordinator Wunison Khan Jambeidu Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana/Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen Please contact Apexnewsgh.com on email apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications
