The Member of Parliament for Builsa South constituency of the Upper East Region Dr. Clement Apak has reacted to the response given by the Minister-designate for the National Security Albert Kan Dapaah
Mr. Dapaah told the vetting committee that those involved in the scuffle will be sanctioned if it is established that their actions were unprofessional.
“I know that orders have been given to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) to investigate the military invasion of Parliament and to take the appropriate action, if he also comes to the conclusion that what happened on 7th January was totally unprofessional,” he said.
However, it appears Mr. Kan Dapaah’s response did not go down well with the Member of Parliament for Builsa South Constituency Dr. Apak who has already registered his displeasure with the response given by the Minister-designate.
Dr. Apak on his Twitter questioned why the soldiers proceeded towards the NDC MPs? Adding that they are not idiots.
“Really, a military commander on his own decides to invade parliament with troops because he felt there was the need to restore order? So why did the soldiers proceed towards the NDC MPs? The military was invited to intimidate the NDC MPs. We are not idiots Kan Dapaah!”. He wrote on Twitter copied to Apexnewsgh.com
