Accusations of witchcraft are increasingly resulting in the lynching of elderly individuals, particularly in the northern regions of Ghana.
In order to shed light on this alarming trend, a documentary was produced by Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh, with support from Minority Right Group International (MRG) and Media Platform on Environment and Climate Change (MPEC).
The documentary features key stakeholders such as paramount chiefs, fetish priests and priestesses, civil society organizations, human rights lawyers, diviners, accused victims, families of lynched women, queen mothers and widows.
Its purpose is to raise awareness about the unfortunate occurrence and its consequences in Ghana especially in the northern part of the country.
