The Upper East Regional Communication Director for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Peter Ayinbisa has urged the aggrieved members of the NPP communication team in the region to rescind their decision for the sake of party unity and progress. Apexnewsgh.com report “We all cease with the mandate to communicate for the party, we all cease with the mandate to explain government plans and programmes, in policies to the Ghanaian People. We have all been given that opportunity to explain what is happening around the country regarding what our government, our party is doing. So, the listening public, the Ghanaian people will have a fair hand in what is happening around the country. So, that is what our responsibilities are as communicators”. Mr. Ayinbisa said, in the past communicators have received numerous criticism from some of the party bigwigs for their inability to market government policies and party programmes to the Ghanaian public. “Over the period, people have said we have not been able to communicate so well, because of what we have done, we have allowed it today under the table and we have not come out forcefully to explain to the Ghanaian people what we have done. That is why you hear the NDC say that we have ballooned the debt and there is nothing to show because we are not able to showcase what we have done in various districts”. “So, for me I think that my appointment should not bring about problems, it is that am coming to be part of the team, to work with the team so that we will be able to communicate effectively and bring government programmes and policies very closer to the people by telling them what is happening”. Meanwhile, the NPP communicators in the region have deserted radio stations in the region following the appointment of Peter Ayinbisa as the Regional Communication Director for the governing New Patriotic Party in the Region. It will be difficult to break the 8 with half-truth or hearsay information–Former NPP DCE to party
Peter Ayinbisa, the former District Chief Executive of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has revealed, that it will be difficult for the party succeeds on its agenda of breaking the 8 with half-truth information or hearsay. The former DCE made the pronouncement during an exclusive interview with Apexnewsgh.com on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, following the event of what looks like a piece of leaked information from the newly elected regional executives “So, that means someone within the meeting or some people within the meeting leaked out such information and that is where my surprises and worries come from because this is a very new party office that has just been elected less than 2 weeks ago and their first meeting information leaked. There is a source of worry for me and the party and am worried about that. “It will be difficult to break the 8 with half-truth information or hearsay information. With the information that is not accurate. Because these are executives who are supposed to keep their mouth shut, these are people who have sworn the oath of secrecy, these are people who have sworn an official oath and this oath says that you should not divulge any official information to outsiders when you are not asked to do so and just after a meeting, information is been divulged and people are now writing based on the information they received after the meeting”. “I believe is not a good cause for our party, if we don’t desist from it, it means we are going to have a divided front because I was told and also reading from the write up they had to end the meeting inconclusively because some people thought that the name that where pumping around, they didn’t like those names and others have other names they mentioned and others didn’t agree. So, it means that, each time we hold a meeting information will be leaked out. So, how can these individuals hold a critical campaign meeting that it will not go out to the opposition NDC? Am just worried. And I believe going forward, if it continues like this, the party will not experience any growth in this region. That was what happen in 2014 and 2015 which lead to some suspension of some personalities at the national level. Because, each time they held a meeting, within two hours, the information was in the hands of the NDC”. He stressed According to the former DCE, “It means that, whatever the region will plan the constituencies’ how-to strategizes, how to snack the only seats that have been occupied by the opposition, that information will be leaked, if it leaks, it’s a dead matter for us. That will mean that we cannot plan well and whatever information we put across or plan to do, would be picked by the NDC far even before we begin to execute that idea. So, it is going to be an exercise in fidelity. “I urged the new crop of executives, very fine young men and women. They have all been closed to the party by voice in various capacities. Some have been there before they come back. The first Vice, the second Vice, and the Chairman have been there as treasurer and as chairman. And now as chairman moving to begin his second term. The women organizer have been there before she is been retained. A youth Organizer is a new person, but he has held various positions before, he was the deputy national coordinator for TESCON. So, that is a party position he has held before. The assistant secretary, all of them have had a good time with the party and have held various positions. He recounted. I have not on any occasion called on any regional executive or lobby for any appointment–Peter Ayinbisa
The former Bongo District Chief Executive (DCE) Peter Ayinbisa has disassociated himself from the information gaining momentum on social media which says, he is going around lobbying for the position of a Regional Communication Director for the governing New Patriotic Party in the region. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, the former DCE said: “i have not by any such of any imagination, I have not on any occasion called on any regional executive that has just been elected to lobby for an appointment and I have not asked anyone to do lobbying on my behalf and I have not been told that, people have lobbied for me and I have been given the opportunity to serve as the regional communication position”. The former DCE in the recent just regional party elections contested the Organizer’s position, even though he couldn’t win, he made remarkable progress by losing to his opponent with just 27 votes after making his intention known a month before the election. “What I do know is that, I wanted to be a member of the team as the organizer for the region. The good delegates of our region, have good reason to think that it should not be me at this material moment. So, I accept the verdict by the delegates. But of course, the delegates did a good job, this is the first time I have come on board and I used one month for the campaign, some other people used more than two years, after the 2018 elections, they went back to the drawing board and started campaigning. They sponsored and followed the constituency elections. I did not, because I declared my intention shortly after the constituency election. So, i would have loved to be part of the team as the Organizer”. “So, when I lost, I took it easy because I believed in the delegate’s ability to decide who should be the organizer. So, I have not told anybody that I want to be the Regional Communication Director for that matter so they should give it to me. Am surprised, reading yesterday’s comment by some people who have come to say that, why should I bring myself that low? That i am struggling to become the regional communication director am surprised. But am aware that, the regional executive met 2 days ago and one of the reasons they met was to deliberate on the appointments. “I have not heard and not been briefed on any information from the meeting but I was surprised to hear and read from people that my name was mentioned at that meeting”. “So, I believe that those who have written those things extensively on social media were not in the meeting. UER: Big names missing in the alleged vetting recommendation reports
Big names missing from the alleged vetting committee recommendation reports for the position of MMDCEs in the Upper East Region includes the Bongo DCE Peter Ayinbisa, the Bolgatanga East DCE Emmanuel Abole and Navrongo MCE Williams Aduum In Bongo, the committee recommends Mr. Ayambire Cletus Innocent and Diana Aduko Aburiya Asuure for an appointment as the DCE. The committee further recommends Diana Aduko Aburiya Asuure for another portfolio in an event that she’s not selected, and Mr. Cletus Innocent Ayambire for the Regional NHIS Director if he’s not chosen for this position. Both candidates have served the party well in different capacities and are unifiers who can bring in new ideas to advance the party. Diana Asuure is grassroots, self-motivated, ambitious, and a team player who relates well and draws people. People in the constituency refer to her as the peoples’ mother. In 2012, she contested for the parliamentary seat in the Bongo Constituency, when the party was in opposition. She served as a Deputy Regional Women’s Organizer and was part of the 2020 Regional Campaign Team. She helped in training constituency campaign teams. She enjoys tremendous support from the chiefs, party executives, and patrons. She holds MBA and BA in Management. In Kassena Nankana Municipality, the committee recommends Mr. Joseph Adongo for nomination as MCE based on his independence, decisiveness, and non-alignment with factions in the constituency. He has a strong party background, having held several positions. And in the case of Bolgatanga East, the committee recommends Mr. David Akologo Amoah for nomination as DCE. Mr. David Akologo Amoah is a strong party person who understands local government issues. He has an in-depth knowledge of the constituency and has a great relationship with party executives. He is now the chairman of the constituency. He holds MA in Business Administration and B.Ed. in Accounting and Mathematics. However, it is not known for now, what might have caused these soon to be called former MMDCEs not to be recommended by the vetting committee to the president despite all their touted achievements during their time in office. “We need the type of Peter Ayinbisa as MCE in the Bolgatanga Municipality,–NDC Communication member
A member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) communication team in the Bolgatanga Municipality of the Upper East Region Abdallah Salifu has said, the Bolgatanga Municipality needs the type of Peter Ayinbisa of Bongo District to bring development in the Municipality. Mr. Salifu made the pronouncement during an exclusive interview with Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnews Gh. According to him, the work of MMDCEs shouldn’t be seen as a spending officer job, but rather a job to more creative and anxious of looking for development in and outside the region for the betterment of the Municipality. He further sighted examples with the acting DCE for Bongo District Peter Ayinbisa who he said has been working hard by way of searching for development outside his district office far away in Accra. “We need the type of Peter Ayinbisa as MCE in the Bolgatanga Municipality, we need someone who can operate like him or even operate more than him, someone who can go to Accra and lobby for projects, and someone who knows the ministers and the Ministers know him. We don’t need someone who will only sit and wait for funds to come and he became a spending officer. When you do that, you are killing the Assembly. We want someone who has revenue-generating skills”. Meanwhile, he insisted that Bolgatanga as a Municipality has the capacity to generate its own revenue to develop the Municipality. UER: Development in Bongo have gone very far, Peter Ayinbisa did quite ….Prof Avea Nsoh
The former Upper East Regional Minister and a well distinguish Bongo personality Profession Avea Nsoh has said, he is optimistic about the fast increase development in the Bongo Constituency as he believes Peter Ayinbisa performed well in the last 4 years because he had the resources. Prof. Avea who was speaking in an exclusive interview with Apexnewsgh.com said, Bongo Constituency has gone far in terms of development. Even though he expressed worry about the kind of politics played, he believes sometimes they got it wrong by taking simple issues too far which atimes denied them the opportunity for more development in the constituency. He eulogized the NPP and the development they brought on board within the last 4 years under the leadership of Peter Ayinbisa who is currently acting as the District Chief Executive (DCE) in the constituency ranging from roads construction, covets, schools added, a number of students in secondary schools and number of students who benefited from the scholarship scheme as a good development for the people of Bongo Constituency. However, Prof. Avea believes a lot needs to be done as far as development in Bongo is concerned “I have always maintained that in development we have gone very far. We might be playing politics but sometimes we take it too far. What we forget, is that whether we ourselves or political parties that are doing something new, we don’t take counts of what happens. Take for instance what the NPP has done, some of the roads they have made, they made covets, they have been schools that have added, some students were supported to scholarship and all that, so people don’t take their time to counts in fact we are moving. Development has grown so fast. Look at our road system going to Tamale alone, I mean the long Journey, going to Navrongo and even Bongo, going to Bawku, let forget that is not very good. So, if you look at most communities now and a lot of roads that were tarred in Bolga itself. If you take Bongo, for instance, there is a lot that has been done but there is still a lot that can be done. What we should be looking at is, how many of our people now are in secondary schools? How many secondary schools now exist? How many small businesses are there? How many motors, about 5 years to 10 years do we have the number of motors and motor repairers? These are all things we have to look at if we are going to counts the developments. For me, I think Bongo has grown quite a lot and we can still move it much further by re-strategizing and leaving the criminal political activities, I think we can make a move. I think Bongo has done quite well, even in the last 4 years and I can tell you we change a lot”. He explained Meanwhile, when he asked was to rate the development brought between the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party in the constituency, this was his explanation. “If am not a frank type, I will definitely say is NDC, but I can assure you, for that one I have to be frank about it, is not because am NDC, we have been there for a long time, look at how long Agambire was there and when he came the others didn’t do very much Apikiya and the other one is possible at that time they didn’t get the resources they needed. They did their best but not much. But, Ayinbisa did that because they had a lot of resources to sort of. So, He did quite a lot and as I have said, I haven’t taken counts of that and must admit that sometimes when we come, we are not able to get time to walk around even though we read around and talk to people and all that. But to be frank, because we have been around for a long time and this place is an NDC place, I mean, if you want to take count of the things NDC has done, we are likely to have more visibility. Even though Ayinbisa and his also did quite well”. BONGO: Prof. Avea Nsoh Vindicates Peter Ayinbisa earlier stance on…..
Profession Avea Nsoh, one of the leading party members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bongo Constituency of the Upper East Region has said, it is true the NDC squeezed the Bongo NPP Parliamentary candidate for the 2020 general election hands at his back and took his victory away. In a news item published on December 13, 2021 by Apexnewsgh.com with the headline ‘UER: NDC Squeezed my hands at my back and took the victory away from me’, a statement made the 2020 Bongo Parliamentary Candidate for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Peter Ayinbisa after the election. After the statement by Mr. Ayinbisa who contested Edward Bawa in the 2020 general elections, Apexnewsgh.com also proceeded to Edward Bawa who emerged victorious after the votes count to verify Ayinbisa’s claims of winning the Bongo seat through the efforts of his party bigwigs in the constituency who came at the late hour to the election to assist him with campaigns. But Mr. Bawa disregarded the claim by his contender when Apexnewsgh called on him. Below are the words of Peter Ayinbisa the 2020 Bongo Parliamentary Candidate for the NPP when Apexnewsgh engaged him earlier. “So, imagine how former Ministers, former chief director, former chairmen, former Parliamentary candidate, ranging from Professor Avea, Hon. Albert Abongo, Lawyer Bawah Dua, Simon Alangde, Alexis Adugdoo, Dr. Atinga, Dr. Rainer Akumperigya, Mr, Aluzeeri and Thomas, Accountant, Ghana Maritime Authority coming home extending resources in every community. Wherever I went and gave Ghc 500.00, Profession Thomas Akabzaa went and gave Ghc1000, Ghc1200 and Ghc1500 not that they came home only with the resources, they came and started intimidating the young men and women, they started insulting and inviting them to their houses telling them they are not fighting for Edward Bawa, they are fighting for the party. So, all of them should team up and work for their party. So definitely, some of them admitted that if I get the seat, it will take the NDC so many years to come back because they know am a developmental oriented person, they know my human relation, so, it will be difficult for them to come back.” He stated According to Prof Avea Nsoh, one of the names mentioned by the NPP defeated Ayinbisa in his claims as those who came to squeeze his hands at the back and took his victory away has confirmed to Apexnewsgh.com that Mr. Ayinbisa was right. The former Upper East and West Regional Minister told Apexnewsgh.com that, the earlier plan was to sit back and watch Edward Bawa do his own thing especially when he (Edward) did not see some of them in the party as important. He said, if not for the sake of some of their senior party members who called and asked them to forgive and look at the party welfare, Peter Ayinbisa would have won the Bongo seat in a very simple manner for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) However, he told Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh that, he does not regret his support for Edward Bawa in the 2020 election, because during their meetings then, he acknowledged his previous mistakes and said he was misguided and ignorant. Profession Avea Nsoh spoke exclusively with Apexnewsgh.com on Friday, January 29, 2021. “I think Ayinbisa was right, in the last 4 years when Bawa came in, he has not conducted himself in terms of managing human beings here as within the party. So, for some of us and I used to tell him at various forums. So, this time people just said ok, no one has said anything, let’s just stay in our corner and make sure he loses this time. So, he would have lost big time and that one there is no question about it, he would have lost. If you look at the last 4 years how the PPP candidate got almost about 30,000 votes, this year he didn’t get anything. The reason was that no one likes Bawa at the time and there was open opposition known as Lai Lai faction. So, people like us just withdraw, we didn’t attend any of the campaigns and stuff like that. They wanted someone to give it to and they did that because the NPP person wasn’t very well known, he wasn’t proactive and he has not been moved around and most importantly, he didn’t have the resources because he wasn’t in power so it was difficult. So, they saw this young man who was very smart and I think they could give their vote to the PPP man. So, if for instance that time Ayinbisa was the candidate because he had the resource, he got a lot of us, we have been friends for some time, but not friends to eat and drink every day, but we have been friends. So, people felt now the PPP candidate is not strong enough and he doesn’t have a base, and NPP have a number of votes already, so they felt they would have just voted Bawa out, so that was the idea. So that he can learn a lesson and others can learn”. “Bawa is a nice person but, is just that he starts from a wrong path and he will not take his time and listen, look at the system and the background that is how the problem was. So, that is why people wanted to teach him a lesson and also, we wanted to just sit and watch. But some of our Senior colleagues said no, we shouldn’t do that, that politics isn’t all about that and they initiated some kind of meeting and then we decided then that we have to come and support him to win the seat and I don’t regret, because first of all, I was happy that he (BAWA) came openly in the meeting to say he admits his previous mistakes, by saying he was misguided, he was ignorant and I told him it was this same thing we were telling
BONGO: NGOs in Bongo are so worried about government claims of ownership…. –Edward Bawa
The Member of Parliament for Bongo Constituency Edward Bawa has told Apexnewsgh.com that Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) assisting to bring developments in the Bongo Constituency are worried because their works in the Bongo Constituency is mistaken to be the work of government. According to him, out of 94 boreholes, the District Chief Executive claimed it was provided by the government in the constituency, only 10 were built by the government and the rest was provided by NGOs such as UNDP, UNICEF, WaterAid, and others. “If you look at issues of water, a lot of Non-Governmental Organizations became worried that their work at the constituency level was misappropriated to be the works of government. For example, the DCE was going around saying that he had built about 94 boreholes but when you check based on the government infrastructure tracker that is provided, the government have only built 10 boreholes and the rest were Non-governmental Organization UNDP, UNICEF, WaterAid, etc and you know, no NGO will come into a community without passing through the Assembly. So, I can tell you the NGOs are very worried, and is important that I reassure them. They are the key partners in our development particularly with water.” However, Mr. Bawa told Apexnewsgh.com that a certain Turkish friend helped him during his campaign with 5 boreholes to support some parts in his constituents who were in dare need of water, particularly where Muslims were dominated and there was no way he could claim he donated those boreholes even though his friend was doing it on his behalf unlike the District Chief Executive Mr. Ayinbisa who was going around telling people that government provided 94 boreholes. JUST IN BONGO: I am willing and ready to work with whoever is appointed DCE in….
The Member of Parliament for Bongo Constituency Edward Bawa has told Apexnewsgh.com that he is ever willing and ready to work with whoever is appointed the District Chief Executive (DCE) in the Bongo District of the Upper East Region for the development of the area. However, from the tone and body language of the lawmaker when speaking to Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com he pointed that it has been difficult working with the current District Chief Executive who contested him closely in the just ended December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary elections “Whoever becomes the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Bongo whether NDC or NPP depending on all the crisis they are going through now, i would genuinely want to work with the person to develop Bongo, because i believes that with togetherness, we can make Bongo a better place.” According to Mr. Bawa, peace is paramount and without peace, the people of Bongo will not see any development in the constituency. He said, aside from peace, during their campaigns across the constituency, what he realized was that people need development and it does not matter the party these people belong to, because they are all Bongo citizens. He told Apexnewsgh.com that is one area he would like to focus on in moving forward as an elected Member of Parliament. “I think the most important thing is to have peace because without peace nothing good will happen. In the course of the campaign we did, we realized that there are a lot of people who need development, is not about who belongs to which political party but they really need development and is one area I would like work on.” Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana/Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen Please contact Apexnewsgh.com on email apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications
UER: NDC Squeezed my hands at my back and took the victory away from me
The Bongo Constituency New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate for just ended December 7, elections who doubles as the Bongo District Chief Executive(DCE) Ayinbisa Peter has told Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com in an exclusive interview that the National Democratic Congress party bigwigs succeeded by squeezing his hands by him and took his victory away. “I think, I set out to win the elections for the first time to make history for my party in that constituency. I think right from 2019 when we finished the primaries, I started campaigning, I used almost 6 months effectively campaigning day and night and everything was on course and I was securing victory for myself and for the party, until the last 2weeks when something strange happened and what happened was that the Member of Parliament upon realizing that he was at the verge of losing the seat, went and met former President John Dramani Mahama and asked him to invite all former appointees coming from the Bongo enclave to come home and support him. Indeed, they met in Accra and he kneeled down and pleaded with them to come and support him. So, all of them, about 2weeks to the election they came home, about 10 prominent former appointees of the past government came home to campaign for him.” He spoke “So, imagine how former Ministers, former chief director, former chairmen, former Parliamentary candidate, ranging from Professor Avea, Hon. So definitely, some of them admitted that if I get the seat, it will take the NDC so many years to come back because they know am a developmental oriented person, they know my human relation, so, it will be difficult for them to come back.” He stated “So, is better they fight the horse and when they get home, they can blame the cork (instead of fighting themselves outside). So, they quizzed my hands by me and took the victory away from me.” He lamented “But I am not perturbed, I am going to do my work again, I am going to organize a meeting and do some introspection and find out what the real issues were.” He told Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com Meanwhile Edward Bawa won the Bongo Parliamentary constituency by polling 26, 276 votes, as Peter Ayinbisa of the New Patriotic Party manage 17,276 votes.
